I was stationed at Sub Base Pearl Harbor from Nov 91 til my discharge Jan 96. I stayed in Hawaii and still live in the hills overlooking Pearl Harbor with my wife who was born and raised there and our 2 kids.

It was a beautiful place to be stationed at. I was there when I was onboard the U.S.S Leftwich (DD984) in 1985-88. I enjoyed my times there whenever I came back on another navy ship. I always enjoyed my liberty there and I really do miss this place.

I was stationed on board the USS Ouellet during the same time period. It was wonderful to be 19 and living in Hawaii, doing 2 WestPacs. Although living on ship- a single guy with no housing was rough.

Took the Oath of Enlistment on USS Arizona Memorial in 1986. My brother was on USS Missouri during the first Gulf War

Yes, I toured it a year ago a half ago. Also the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, the Arizona Memorial, the USS Bowfin, and the Submarine Museum. You can do it all in one day.
