After twenty other so throws you get the hang on a. Throwing the grenade where it should land and b. control your throw with a short glimpse (if the situation allows for it)after throwing….and the delay allows for it easy. But who gets twenty throws except perhaps in a real fight

Fond memories. While we were waiting to throw, at a fair distance away from the range, we noticed tiny little pieces of shrapnel raining down all around us. A guy near me decided to pick one up to check it out. HOT!!! He threw it back down quickly. Someone commented on the video jokingly about dropping a grenade. That is no joke. In the pit that you throw from, there is a hole kind of like a golf hole that goes down deep. The instructor's job if you drop the grenade is to kick or toss that grenade into the hole and to tackle your ass off to the side. Instructors tend to be big strong guys for this reason. I always thought that being a grenade range instructor was one of the worst jobs you could have. Finally there is always the concern that a noob grenade thrower will understandably be nervous and after pulling the pin, will unknowingly "milk" the spoon and trigger the timer on the grenade before they even throw it. I've never seen that, but the idea scared the crap out of me. I held that spoon on with 5 tons of force until I actually threw the grenade. The video shows it a bit, but the concussive force of these tiny little things is pretty impressive. You can feel it in your chest even from far away.

I went through in 1989 Dam Neck. Our CIC was super busy during Desert Storm in the Gulf. My instructors were not like this guy, no yelling or shouting, just "Stand Fast" in all of their instruction. Old Navy!

A few years ago I met a 19 year old Lance Corporal fron 29 on an adult dating/sex site. He was into older guys. He didnt have a car so I drove up from my home in Palm Springs one saturday afternoon to pick him up.We had a wild night together and did it again two weeks later. When i was in the aussie army infantry corp , our drill was to pull pin , insure hole was clear (no broken pin) throw was the same but we had to sight the grenade to see where it landed, then duck

It's nice how they train, but completely unrealistic. If you do that on the battlefield your head would get blown off by enemy gunfire. People generally don't throw grenades like that. They lob them. They backhand them. They underhand them. They drop them down into tunnels. etc... If you're going to throw from a position like that then you need to stay crouched while you throw and make a higher trajectory so you're not exposed.

I remember in tire town doing MOUT training, one of my fireteam took a piece of shrapnel in his neck. Blood was only spraying out every few seconds. The corpsman got some training that day also. TEAMWORK
