Finally someone said it. I was beginning to think I was the only one seeing it. Thank you :) This limited Aerith weapon is a “jack of all trades, master of none” weapon, that you will only use in a niche battle once every blue moon and will never use again for serious battles where 3 ATB specific support weapons would always be prioritised. This weapon needed to have a Diamond sigil. Then it would have been a good Swiss Army knife. As is, it is only good on paper and the one event tied to it.

If you already have Kamura Dress and Bahamut Robe you don't need this one. For newer players is a solid choice. Still, I have both and I'm considering getting this too. It looks amazing, and not everything in this life is meta. 👀

I thinks its best for new players, specifically, to OB6, or maybe just 1 copy for a bit more versatility on Aerith when needed. IE Ill sleep on it until all 4 banners are out, then ill consider grabbing just 1 copy so Aerith can down 2 pips on resistances in a pinch (for example if we get another boss as needy as Ramuh/SHiva, where 1 slot is practically garantee'd to need Barret, leaving the rest scrambling to get a lot done by themselves, and leaving little wiggle room to fit another character in. I feel it helps like Kuja blade in this way, where even 1 copy can help prepare you for specific situations where second weapon would be wasted/a stat stick) Its also possible for them to make a new AOE boss meta at any point, and it would definately start with Fire considering both the AOE fire beach weapons, and now this.

I pulled for one 5* copy of the weapon and called it a day. Maybe it’ll be helpful in some future content, but I don’t think enough to warrant going to OB6+ Aerith’s ultimate weapon looks like an HP Shout plus heal, plus 60s regen, so looks OP to me.

I personally love this weapon. It allows for double dps teams to be stronger without losing a key support like an imperil. And I've been waiting for another elemental support Aerith weapon ( like Floral or Citric), so I'm extremely happy.

I like the potential of having multiple debuffs at once, so this weapon could be useful on 3 different battles and I find citric and floral amazing but they are weapons we can wishlist. If this rod was also wishlistable I would say it's outstanding. But it being exclusive, it seems like a very costly investment for some situations, especially when she has other exclusive weapons like Baha and Kamura that are extremely versatile. I think that while it's underwhelming in a single fight, like her weapon, it was probably designed to be used to dungeons, only in this case, because of how there are already a pretty decent number of multi-element dungeons. So princess rod gives passive heals at the beginning of each battle, and Aerith can AOE imperil half the elements as an ability. So, like Nanaki's and Barret's double imperils, but three for one instead, which is why they consider it worthy of being limited I guess?

Can see it being useful in double summon fight if they start putting shiva and ifrit together and plus even ob1 is useful. Might snatch a copy when all 4 banners are out

yep i thought the exact same thing after analyzing the weapon. i think it's not a "must have" like kamura or baharod , it's a very luxury/whale weapon to make life simpler when making teams. however i think this makes it the perfect ob0 weapon. get 1 blue/purple copy for 3-6k , and use 200parts and done. the fact it's triple imperil mid-high at ob0 , makes it the best ob0 weapon in the game easily. must get 1 copy! if kamura is worth investing 72k for ob6, this weapon is surely worth 3-6k for ob0 😤😤

The outfit is indeed not the greatest, but a few points in regards to the weapon: 1. The Kamura / Baharod combo is great, but not every fight requires both defenses to be raised. Think of Floral Wand (still a top tier weapon) being used a lot on Aerith - same logic applies to the Terrarod. Sometimes Aerith will have her hands full raising defenses, but if she doesn't (because the enemy uses only magic) she can suddenly push damage harder than any other healer. Imo this is a OB0 must-pull, it's as F2P friendly as it can get. 2. You noted how we have to bring Diamond Sigil Breakers anyway, so might as well let Red / Barret / X to do the Imperil. In my experience the Diamond Sigil is rarely a hard requirement, it only puts A LOT of stress on saving ATB at the correct moment - and here is where I see the synergy with her Ultimate Weapon. 3 ATB for the entire party translates to 3 extra sigil breaks [ on demand ]. I'm sure this party-wide ATB will be enough to deal with sigil phases a lot easier in general, let alone any Berserk or soft-enrage phases. I think it's crazy powerful. 3. The Ultimate Weapon being mediocre. I think the idea is to provide healing in a way that will allow Aerith to push damage as hard as possible, while keeping the party alive through means that don't require heavy investment in healing R-abilities. Regen at the start of the fight for 60 seconds, paired with an on-demand 30% heal will lessen the burden to spend ATB for healing significantly. Even a Full Damage Aerith can provide decent sustain now, mabye in times when one would want to bring two healers but would rather not. Aerith can go full turtle mode, but also be the most aggressive healer if the fight promotes that more. I think this is a really powerful addition to her kit, honestly to the point where it's unfair to the other characters.

Unless they add more fights in the future where you want to use all three elements and on groups, I doubt it'll ever really be badly necessary. I could be wrong though, but I don't think this is a banner I really want to put my gems into, I'd rather wait for a good DPS weapon banner for ranking or guild battle.

Yeah. I have the exact same thoughts as you, Palidor. It seems to be a very nice utility but it'll be very situational unlike Kamura or Baharod (or other weapons alike) that are very versatile and extremely useful in every battle. And because it's an exclusive weapon I also don't think I really want to invest my crystals into it because more banners and weapons will always come. And I'm still waiting for Monster Hunter rerun to fix my Kamura mistake, so need to have crystals saved for that. I don't know. Maybe after Kamura and then Baharod, two god tier weapons, my expectations were too high regarding Aerith's next exclusive weapon. But I find it interesting that FF9 Garnet Rod seemed also very niche and situational just like this one now. It would be a funny pattern if Aerith would be getting a niche exclusive weapon every year in November.

you're wrong. the weapon isnt about replacing. it's about versatilkity. we have angeal now with pdef kamura so he can free up a slot for aerith or red can free up mdef up. this weapon is just as good as kuja blade and kamura also being disappointed by the UW is insane. 1 atb on baha is already gamebreaking and aerith doesnt even get the atb herself. this is basically an upgrade. 30% hp is more than enough for smth that doesnt cost ATB

Interesting. I've seen a few cc weapon reviews today, and you were the only one who doesn't really think the banner is good. It was an interesting take. I thought it was worth getting one copy for the utility

Ah sorry. It definitely is a nice banner and weapon (I really like the r abilities to use as a subweapon) but comparing it with Aerith's previous exclusive weapons, imo this one falls short. If it was a featured banner I'd say it's outstanding but because it's another exclusive weapon that could cost even 50-100k crystals (for ob6-10 because we can't wishlist) just like Kamura or Baharod that are incredibly versatile in every battle? This one will be very, very situational but of course there will be some battles where this weapon will shine but it doesn't seem to me to be a necessary weapon like Kamura or Baharod which imo were unskippable banners.

It may depend on what you already have and I always try and judge a weapon through a sceptical lens to hope I can save crystals. When I first saw the weapon I was questioning it too. It's because it's good but technically replaceable pretty easily. More often than not you could have another character take an imperil weapon for breach and you'd be pretty fine. In some cases like Cait siths they'll even handle the mdef down and lightning res down at the same time. The AOE part mainly works if you're building AOE weapons but most strong weapons are single target as well so you'll usually only need to imperil one at a time anyway. On the other hand it is literally putting the imperil part onto a support unit which is very nice to let your damage dealers have more choice in their weapon set, it is an AOE breach so in those few cases you may want AOE breach then it's really good and it's got good stats. I actually think it's really good but missable at the same time, the major benefit though (if you have enough crystals) is that it looks packed at doing what it's supposed to do with just one copy. That can make it incredible value if you get it cheap. If it was a weapon you had to OB6 to get the most out of then I think the scale tips against it but at one copy it has value (can still do at ob6 but I'd recommend saving).

I love Terra in FF6, so having her costume is a quality of life upgrade for me. Realistically, I already have Bahamut and Kamura costumes, so this one doesn't provide a significant benefit. Getting one copy of her weapon though just in case isn't a bad idea.

Whenever I pull on any banner I record my pulls. Even if I decide to pull on this banner in the future, I definitely won't be pulling for ob10 unless I get incredible luck but that's definitely not happening.

I am just not very excited about this cross over in general. Also hoping for something Kamura like so I can use Aerith as a healer but that didn’t happen. I am thinking about just putting away some crystals in case they do a MH rerun when the new MH game comes out later. Huge copium.
