This is an alternate timeline from the original game, not a proper remake. It is repeatedly hinted at throughout the game that Aerith remembers everything that happened in the original game. If the dialogue was tweaked in the localization to reflect that fact, it just fits in with the myriad other instances throughout.

Not exactly... she knows that his heart is with someone else as hers is with someone (Zack Fair) who has not yet reunited with her thus the back petal. Its been a while since Cloud has met up with Tifa and in turn he literally gives her the flower. Aerith literally stated the flower is a representation of reunion of two lovers. One more time from the top. Cloud literally gives Tifa the flower knowing its representation.

I'm sure that the singularity they entered, which existed across time as seen by how it also appeared in the alternate timeline for Zack, will be used again in the future, but next time, Zack will be entering it as well, and that Zack from the alternate timeline will meet the others from the timeline we just played in the OG. Had Zack entered that singularity instead of having to fight the Shinra soldiers in his timeline, they would have met, so I'm sure entering the singularity will be used again to have Zack from the alternate timeline be able to interact with those from the current timeline of our party.

Did you guys see the flower break into pieces in a vision? "Follow them, the yellow flowers." She also said the flowers are trying to tell her something but she can't hear them until they take the final step. These flowers seem to be ominous... because they decided to suddenly associate them to the REUNION. It might not be all caps reunion but it alludes to it. Haven't watched the entire playthrough but I have a strong feeling Aerith already knew Cloud before she even met him here. Such is why the Whispers are all around her for defying fate which indicates she must have done something big. It's like she's been through all this and starting over again, also explains how she knew Marlene without meeting her in the first place which left Tifa confused. The next episode might reveal alot about this. There's still a 50/50 chance Aerith might survive in this timeline I love how they made subtles hints but never really making big points as to what happens in the next update. And as we know in this timeline their fate became a blank slate as the previous one was broken meaning Aerith may survive but it also means Sephiroth may win and avoid his failures in Advent Children. They really did a great job with this one. Now it's not the old one timeline progression of the story anymore.

@Silvana Sanchez You are wrong about the “you can’t fall in love with me” it’s implied that Aerith know what is going to happen and wants to spare the pain of her death which got him serious depression in AC (which was triggered because of Elmyra paying him to deliver some flowers to her grave and because of geostigma) dude literally left the bar and was living in the church near her flower bed waiting to die there, that’s why she responds sad but with a smile “if that’s what you want, thank you” she knows things will repeat again and she can’t stop any of it, just listen to hollow lyrics and watch all the flashbacks Cloud has about her death. Also all of this is after he recovers his true memories of his childhood and Nibelheim incident, so that didn’t really change what he felt for Aerith or the rest of the party.

English translation sure takes some initiatives... In Japanese the flower is simply a "reunion" flower lol That's why it makes sense that the flower is shared by Aerith, Cloud and Tifa And when Aerith disappears, the flower is dead and burried as well... Especially since this remake gives a lot of friendship moments between Tifa and Aerith

The reunion flower... FF7 OG ending- Cloud - The promised land, I think I can meet her there. On the way to a smile- Aerith- I want to meet Cloud the way he knows me. FF7R -Aerith- (Gives the flower to Cloud).Lover use to give these, when they were reunited. -Cloud- Gives it to Tifa (without meaning anything). -When Cloud interacts with the flower he remembers Aerith. -When Aerith ask him about the flower, he doesn't want to tell her whom he gave it to. Tifa resolution scene- Tifa is heartbroken when she realises that the flower was actually given to Cloud by Aerith. Later when Tifa was telling Leslie the message of the reunion flower, Cloud remembers what Aerith said to him while giving the flower. Cloud got Aerith's message.

Leah Janulgue I’ve seen both versions too. She for sure does more than just lean on his shoulder in the high affection version. “You were listening” vs “you were watching” along with completely collapsing when she finds out they were seen which only happens in the high affection. They definitely had sex in the high affection version.
