I never played the OG FF7 nor the remake (waiting for all the games to come out), but I played FF CC on psp when I was a kid, so for me it is always Zack and Aerith. I imagine some people who played CC and not the og FF7 also felt that way if they go play the remake haha, maybe that why.

I think that it happens also because one of the metrics for the dates is shared playtime, with the synergy thing. Tifa is easier to play, you can output very good damage and stagger. Aerith is a howitzer but requires more attention. Also boobs.

I'm so happy her bangles are more gold!! it's always bothered me how her battle and field model have brass/gold bangles, but every other design she has had in this outfit makes them silver. Maybe her buttons have simply fallen off on her dress in the story too, at least that's the head canon I'm adopting now :p

I love Tifa so I ended up getting her date but while I 'ship' both couples, I do prefer Cloud/Aerith more and really enjoyed their date. It was so cute!! Nice review as well!

I feel like the neck thing was to ensure that she'd have sufficient range looking downward for her praying pose. I feel like a better solution would have been to give her (and all of these figures for that matter) a secondary joint at the base of the neck

I felt a similar way when I got mine, I think it looks really good but it also felt extra fragile like I’d break it if I moved it too much. Especially in the arms which are really skinny so I guess it makes sense. Still love the line though and am really excited for Sephiroth next month.

I just got mine a few days ago. This figure would have literally been perfect if not for that neck. Should a huge design flaw since you have to keep her looking forward. I still love her though even with her giraffe neck. 😂

While it's nice and for nostalgia's sake, that would be great had there been other poses for her to do. Obviously non provocative just different or maybe action like, maybe one of Shredder's combat poses as in from the 90s live action movie

I only got Cloud so far and honestly, am disappoint. The overall articulation and detail is commendable, but after getting many SH Figuarts and Figmas, and the Mafex Bane soon after, I can't help but notice this... ROUGHNESS to it. Posing it just doesn't feel fluid, and at such a high price point, I expected better.

Hey! No need to worry. I have simply not had the time/ability to record. Things have just kept getting in my way to a comical degree. 😅 Like getting sick 2 weekends in a row, kindly being begged to work overtime last minute, randomly losing my voice for no reason, and for 2 weeks straight it was literally too hot and humid to even be in my little recording room. 🥵 All I could do was try and laugh it off while all the figures I planned to unbox kept piling up. 📦📦📦 I have enough stuff for 5 videos right now, still in their boxes, with 2 more on the way by the end of the week. 😂 With some luck I'll be able to record the Sephiroth Bring Arts tomorrow, and hoping to keep the ball rolling after that. 🏃‍♂ Thanks for checking in! 😘

Nope. I played the OG and I finished it 😅 so personally I don't know how you can NOT ship Cloud with Tifa after the lifestream and under the highwind sequence. Aerith was very much the decoy love interest on cd1 but of course that's my opinion and everyone can have their own. But please don't blame Crisis Core. The OG is totally enough to ship Cloud and Tifa ❤

If it makes you feel better that is just North American thing. Japan and Europe are heavily Cloud/Aerith territories. Almost all devs favor Cloud/Aerith. Nojima, Nomura, Toriyama and even Kitase. Hollow and No promises to keep are intertwined together. Hollow is Cloud's song for Aerith and No promises to keep is Aerith's response to Cloud's Hollow. Unfortunately some crazed Tifa fans were giving death threats to Nojima so he had to back down a bit and he said that No promises to keep is for everyone Aerith cherishes but just a quick look into the lyrics proves that this song is about Cloud and Cloud alone.

The figure looks alright but I prefer the Cold Cast statues tbh, such a shame they never made any for Cid, Barret or Caith Sith. Speaking of Cold Cast, I discovered an unopened boxed statue of the Cloud VS Sephiroth on a Japanese auction site. There’s only one problem, the asking price is 8000$ 💀💸

Yeah, the neck thing is a very weird choice, but honestly it doesn’t bother me. She’s not exactly Son Goku, Iron Man or Spider-Man. No need for her to look up for swinging or flight poses. Other wise I like her a lot, all the ones I have so far actually. It helps I only paid half price for her and Tifa though, so that helps.

Something i was wondering watching some of your videos... you don't like the Gametoys FF7 figures? I got them all so far and man, they are astonishing. You got such a huge collection and i didn't see them on display (Maybe you got them in a place not shown in the videos i watched). Anyway, i got these pre-ordered too and every video i see about them i can only think is they are too damn expensive for what they are. Hell, my gametoys Zack was 200$ and its quality is waaaaaaaaaaay up ahead.

Yeah, you're right! To make sure my collection didn't start to feel "messy", I put up a few boundaries. I have limited my collection to licensed figures. More specifically figures from OG and the Remake trilogy with a handful of figures in the gray area, like Dissidia and Smash. This is why you won't see unlicensed figures or anything from the compilation, at least for the time being. If I had more money and space, I would probably get all of it and display them seperately. 😁 You are also correct about the price. 🤐 My wallet cries itself to sleep. 💰

@@corydonclavo Yeah, i totally understand that. You totally need to do so. I collect figures from a lot of different games and i find myself overwhelmed at times. You've gotta be selective or things can ramp up pretty fast, specially with the greedy prices they run. But that's the deal with this hobby. At first i didn't want to go into unlicensed stuff too, and i totally get why you don't, but FF Gametoys figures really changed my mind with that. Those are just beautiful. Anyway, great collection and thanks for your videos, i love seeing others showing their collections and giving reviews with that passion. It makes this hobby amazing!

Haha, no. 😁 I collect a very spesific selection of FF7 figures. Every licensed figure from the original and the remake trilogy, with some figures in "the gray area", like Dissidia and Smash. 😇 I do have a some custom/fanmade stuff along with figures from the compilation, but I don't count those as part of the collection. 🙃 Because I'm weird like that.

Tifa's popularity is mostly a Western thing, while in Japan Aerith and Cloud is the star couple of FF7. They are paired together in every game, add, promo product etc. There are obvious reasons for this disparity, like bad translations, localization teams adding/completely rewriting lines to favor Tifa, and the popular "childhood friends to lovers" trope coloring everything. But in Remake and Rebirth, it's so obvious that Aerith and Cloud are romantically-coded. Tifa is more about them bonding over shared trauma and nostalgia for their childhoods. But Tifa and Cloud lacks the playful push-pull of Aerith and Cloud that causes Cloud to come out of his shell. Also, the main problem is some people are relying too much on Crisis Core. The creators have literally stated they stole bits and pieces from the OG's relationship to endear the connection for Zack. Never mind that OG Aerith states her and Zack were never that serious. Nevermind that both Aerith and Marlene both state in Rebirth that the one she loves is Cloud. Not Zack. And more people should read Traces of Two Pasts. Nojima wrote about all the ways in which Tifa and Cloud don’t work and don’t understand each other.

@@corydonclavo No problem. For the mistranslation part I was reffering to the OG 7. That's why most old fans prefer Tifa over Aerith. But I think new fans playing 7R with fresh eyes will definitely prefer Aerith as the better romantic choice.

100% correct. Tifa may be more popular in North America but we Europeans agree with Japan. FF7 is the story of Cloud and Aerith. Always has been and always will be. The game was literally marketed as "The love story that could never be" Nojima also called Cloud and Aerith koibito in on the way to a smile novel. Koibito literally means a lover. It can't get any clearer than that. Also that interlocking fingers gesture that Cloud and Aerith do in part 2 is called "Koibito tsunagi" or lovers tie. Then we have songs like Hollow and No promises to keep that are self explanatory. Part 2 also made Zack Cloud's wingman. Zack/Aerith is over.

Are you from the US? Because when i pre ordered mine it said the release date was may along with tifa, but tifa got delayed till late june and aerith on the uk square enix uk says september?? Was she delayed in the US also then?

I buy them online from Japan, where the release dates are much earlier. 😁 The reason why you might've seen a lot of different release dates for these is because some were delayed but some are also being re-released already. So you might find 2 official release dates for the same figure. I don't buy from the SE store, I buy most of my stuff from Amiami, Playasia & eBay. 💰

@@corydonclavo the funny thing about the uk store, cloud bring arts on his own has been taken down but replaced with cloud with the hardy daytona for £199.99 and the bike on its own for £139.99 i can only find cloud on ebay for £130ish, i already have him, but find it funny because its like they already knew about the cloud with the bike was on its way, if the figure is a re release as you said im hoping they have fixed the leg flaw with the ball joint, we now have zack announce as a bring art, hopefully we can get a genersis and angeal

They aren’t bad. They aren’t worth nowhere near their price, but in itself they aren’t bad. Just a few weird design choices like Aerith’s neck. But they are pretty fun once in hand and visually they are stunning together.
