Backward compatibility alone will help boost sales. Players who already have Switch will no doubt feel more confident to get Switch 2, especially if the launch doesn't include many exciting titles. They can just re-experience the Switch games in new res. 😅 Also, I think you pronounced it Pee-yo-roe (Japanese style), and not Pie-yo-roe.

There is no way that any kind of joycons will attach with JUST magnets. Magnets + some kind of extra locking systen for added stability/rigidity, maybe..

Yeah, I Image magnets would be there just to move them to the right position for a lock to actually hold them, so you don't have to aim for the rails like it is now.

The idea of the manufactures touching the system but not seeing it just so goofy to me and cracks me up I don't know why. I can just imagine them getting behind a cloaked box of sorts with hand sized holes on either side style and like awkwardly feeling and getting an idea of what it looks and feels like. I don't think its true because like... its stupid. But I desperately want it to be real.

I think they provided diagram and dimension under confidential docs and NDA but for manufacturer to feel is to make sure how the end product is.what they dont want is for them to take pictures and post online as their competitor might copy and release them first

They will almost definitely use hall effect joysticks, would be a bad move not to but i also dont think theyre going to use a rail connection with how unstable that design is, moreso with use time

@@audie-cashstack-uk4881 do you even know what stick drift is and why it happens? because using hall effects sticks (which use magnetic fields) IS "simply making better sticks". there is no need for them to reinvent the wheel when they can just use those.

Magnetic controllers have an issue. How do you make sure during extensive ruff game play that the controllers don't fall off the switch? Although, I think this actually fixes the issue of how you homebrew your switch currently. You have to short two prongs on the rail to start with homebrewing so you wouldn't be able to do this with the Switch 2.

Yeah...I would think the would be powerful magnets if they are going to hang onto the nintendo switches. But, the challenge is mainly handling the magnets not disrupting the system. But I'm sure as long as they have some non-magnetic material distance itself from the hardware inside the joy-cons, then it should be fine. I'm just worried about you dropping it, from accidentally pulling the nintendo switch from the joycons. (though I don't really feel that pulling motion when using regular nintendo switch)

​. I don't expect the reveal trailer until September or October. But I am expecting around may 7th when nintendo do thier Finances end of the year of 23. They probably going mention the successor code name or system name itself and tell thier investors to expect the system come out in March 2025. Probably in june they probably going do one last direct that focused on current switch & to see what the remaining switch title's come out during the second half of this year.

If they make a new pro controller they should have the separate arrow buttons from the Joycons instead of a D-Pad, unless they can get the D-Pad's false-inputs down low like the 3DS and DS.

Chances are that memory chips and screen will be used in the switch 2.. look at samsung parts catalogues for hardware updates as the hardware should be catalogued within the release of the console itself.. also look for battery to design a 3d case cad file for a battery swap to either run a 2nd battery in series with otiginal battry to double battery life.. maybe a noteab!e additional weight increase or find swappable battery with increased battery size that will either fit in original case or design new swap case.

An LCD screen seems ridiculous when the screen colors might look significantly worse than the oled switch. I haven’t bought an oled switch and I wish the next gen would have it available day 1, I hate having to buy 2 system per generation and I generally don’t. If it’s LCD then I am not playing portably at all once again which is a shame cause that’s the gimmick of the switch that I never use because of how ugly it looks portable

Honestly - 3 system, not 2. First - vulnerable but with short battery life, second - same but more battery life (thinner tech process for chip) and third - OLED version. Its Nintendo! :) So, keep calm and wait.

Magnetic JoyCons are impossible, if you have any logical thinking. Magnets need to be super strong to not clip off when gaming, but at this point of magnetic force, it would likely damage the electronics.

4k will never happen, the switch 2 will showcase better looking games then the ps4 and that's it. Don't hype yourself for "next gen". We will get ps3 and ps4 enhanced games period. If they get aaa ps5 games out framerate will go below 30fps and you will cry again. If nintendo doesn't put real hardware inside the dock then next gen experience will never happen.I'm being negatif because nintendo are greedy.

Even so, this would not be enough to support DLA, which would make DLSS far too expensive in terms of computation. Without this technology, Richard Leadbetter believes that the Nintendo Switch 2 could only offer upscaling to 1080p "or 1440p depending on the game". Recent tests conducted by Digital Foundry already indicated that theNintendo Switch 2 would probably not be able to run games in 4K. Following this statement by Richard Leadbetter, it is also more difficult to imagine that the Nintendo Switch 2 can embed DLSS 3.5 if it does not even offer DLSS 3.1 at the top of its game. Of course, this information should be taken with a grain of salt while waiting for Nintendo's official presentation of the console.
