I actually didn't think you were gonna respond, but thanks for that. This is why you are the goat.

Volvo 240 Wagon vs Brick would be an interesting follow-up video

Yes. Would love too see that. And the 745. And the Aston Martin Lagonda 🤩🤩🤩

A vehicle that is actually called “the brick?” Lol
@ViiKing_16 сағат бұрын
This is the real stuff, now I want to see a brick with a splitter, spoiler and a few vortex generators
@m-J_C21 сағат бұрын
The brick is in fact impressive Very well engineered i say Flow stays attached

@1:52 You can see the way the recirculation bubble creates an optimal shape for the air in that region(by the way it's accelerated). Had they put bodywork over the recirculation region, the drag would have reduced by ~15 counts right there alone.

FYI 3:46 just points to the close captions button. There is no link in the top right hand corner of any KZbin app. Just say you put it in the description and put the arrow pointing down because unless you physically put a link there there is never going to be one.

i dont know the limitations of the simulation, but it would be awsome to make an analysis of an airplane, maybe its drag coefficient compered to a car with really good aerodynamics

Next up: One of my aerospace buddies once said: 'With enough power you can make even a brick fly.' How good of a wing is a brick actually?
@PremierAerodynamics2 сағат бұрын
That is true. Power fixes everything.

How about doing an analysis of wind deflectors in front of the wheels. Typically the either ramps (see Model Y) or vertical walls (see Mini or BMW) but I have seen papers were the used D shaped objects in front of the front wheels to guide the flow around. I think one Ferrari had those. And how about those guide vanes like the Porsche GT3 RS has after the front wheels to push the turbulent flow to the outside.

All that centered high pressure on the grille, and low pressure underneath just ahead of the wheels (and behind the cooler pack) is for cooling. Remember that unlike the brick, these are made to tow and work under high loads at low speeds. The brick just gets to sit around 🙂

Whats your computer specs? And mesh size vs iteration time. I’m building a new pc for my thesis and looking for something good that doesn’t cost a lot. Thinking in a xeon 2697a v4 (although I found a used threadripper 1920x withing pricerange)

Can you please do a video on how opening gullwing doors affects aerodynamics? they are still wings lol

@GraveUypo8 сағат бұрын
technically a brick has an aerodynamic coefficient of 1. it can only be worse if you do it on purpose, like a parachute
@PremierAerodynamics2 сағат бұрын
It depends on its length too.
@JoaoFranciscoFigueiredo14 сағат бұрын
Somehow I think you should show us the aerodynamics of the most sould vibrator, for educational purposes of course 😂😂😂, that's a nice April fools upload for sure, but we want that earlier 😜

The brick is quite close to the humble Ahmed body, only the nose is different.
@PremierAerodynamics2 сағат бұрын
That's true! And given how many various of the Ahmed body there is, I guess it could qualify as one.
