Maxigrow is making my dwarf tomatoes grow like crazy! The only thing I don't like is that it never fully dissolves for me, even with warm water, shaking multiple times, but that is ok, things look great! At first for the tomatoes I was putting 4 of the smaller scoops in a gallon and just watering when needed, but recently changed to doing what you suggested. Thanks for the video!!!

Thank you so much! At your suggestion I just bought MaxiGro and MaxiBloom to try. For anything leafy do you get best results with just 1 tsp every 2 weeks in harvest? How much MaxiGro for cherry tomatoes in Harvest? How much of either in Bounty Basic for leafy plants? For cherry tomatoes? Many many thanks!!

For me, Maxigrow drops the ph of the solution down below 5 when i first mix it. I noticed it takes about 5 days for it to return back to 5.5-6. I have very low mineral content/ tds water, about 35ppm out of tap. Now I try mixing the solution about a week prior to using it

Good to do side by side tests. Maybe they use a growth stimulant. I am wondering about algae growth below the water line. Any difference in root health? You need to test ph and EC in your system as I think the aerogarden nutrient is pretty thick compared to your other mix.

The harvest with aerogarden nutrients also has a second red hydroponic unit turned on right behind it, so is the aerogarden nutrient harvest getting twice the light compared to the maxigro nutrient harvest?
@aerogardenexperiments2 жыл бұрын
hmm... that's a very slim chance. Concentration of the light will reduce as it spreads, so not a great benefit for the nearby plants unless they are very very close.

I never tried Maxi Gro on fruit plants like tomatoes. But I use Maxi Gro on herbs and leafy green vegetables. Sometimes (when I am really lazy to mix dry nutrients), I use AG nutrients instead of Maxi Gro. I never had any issues with switching. I'm confused how to properly use maxigro...it says 1 to 2 teaspoons per gallon.. so I went out bought myself a 1 gallon jug. Filled it up with 1 GALLON of water, added 1 and a half teaspoons of maxigro to the 4 liters of water in the jug, shook the jug well and then filled the harvest elite full with the nutrient water. Isn't that the right way??? In your video u only use a little bit of water, not the 4 liters of water the instructions say. And how much tap water do u add after the tiny amount of nutrient water? Isn't my way I do it proper by filling a 4 liters jug full of water then adding the 1 to 2 teaspoons and shake the jug well then fill the entire aerogarden reservoir full with that jug water?
@aerogardenexperiments3 жыл бұрын
I prefer to be as close as possible to how I handle Aerogarden nutrients. That's why I keep water and nutrition feeds separately and follow according to Aerogarden indicators. When water indicator show up, I will add plain water. When nutrition indicator show up, I will make nutrition solution and add it. That's why I am using a small bottle to prepare the nutrition solution. Simply take 1 tea spoon of dry nutrients and mix them with 100 - 200 ml of water, shake well until the solids are dissolved, and dump into the bowl. For any Harvest model, I found that a teaspoon of Maxi Gro nutrients working well for every herb and leafy vegetable plant that I have grown so far.

Great video, I NEED HELP... I have 16 spider farmer units 12 pod 6-liter, just like aero garden. I buy aero garden nutrients like you show in the bottle of this video. it says 4 capfuls at start up, then 6 capfuls every 2 weeks. I use a syringe. i am trying to switch from the expensive aero garden liquid to Maxi Grow, make a concentrate I can squirt in. my units hold 6 liters of water. I top up the water every few days, but I cannot figure out how many capfuls of Maxi Grow to make a concentrate like the liquid aero garden nutrients I can squirt in. do you have an email? way to contact you by phone? I cannot drain replace 6 liters of water each time. When I top up just water, how do I add nutrients every 2 weeks? you made a concentrate of Maxi Grow, but it was not a full gallon. how much water to 1 teaspoon? and how much did you add to your 6 pod units once mixed? my units are 6 liters, 12 pods. so how much liquid of Maxi Grow would I add every 2 weeks Can you help? I am growing tons of veggies but like your video says Aero Garden Nutrients are expensive. I love your channel, big fan! ... lost in Atlanta.

I don't make the concentrate and save it. I always mix as needed and I mix indivudually per garden. I know it's little bit of work but it will keep things easy and straightforward for me. I don't even recommend making the concentrate and save for future use as it may catch mold, etc.
