Flew my 1947 Aeronca Champ up to Urbana Grimes airport ( I74) to see the progress of the 1929 travel Air 6000 restoration progress. Audio did not work during the flight in the Champ up we had a fun time showing everyone the progress of this beautiful bird. #midamericaflightmuseum #flying #aviationhistory #aviation #planerestorer #history #aircraft

Hope you fed Nancy somewhere along the line. I've found if ya keep a woman fed, they're a much better traveling companion. Love the progress of the 6000. Such a rare airplane. I had a friend who restored a Travel Air 6000 years ago. I got to fly it from the right seat. Roll down the Model "A" window cranks and stick your elbow out the window while your flying. I'm guessing they have the wicker seats restored too? Maybe ready for Oshkosh! That Wright R-975 is a piece of art in itself! Thanks Dewey!

Dewey, Thanks for letting us all into your group of friends and the behind the scenes look at a restoration of an "Antique" airplane, as always interesting and as always educational. Most people out there have NO idea how much pain staking labor and time it takes to do a project like this.I love the fact that they say "FUN" instead of tedious work!

I absolutely love seeing those old aircraft brought back to brand new condition. Some people have no clue the hard work and skill it takes to get it done right. Thanks for sharing this with us all and look forward to more videos! 😁

Thanks Kevin. I am glad that there is a audience out here that enjoys seeing and hearing about some of this nerdy airplane stuff

Great video, Dewey. Love the old birds. We are so lucky in this country to have dedicated crafters to caretake these historical aircraft. Sure appreciate you taking us along. I got my sister to subscribe and she sure enjoys your channel. Greeting from MN.

Great video Dewey and friend, I'm so glad people take interest in restoring old classic airplanes, as they were doing in Urbana. I sure miss flying, but would like to go up again one day ! Bob U.
