Isn't this what LSAs were supposed to be from the start? Simple, fun, cheap? With that starting price, a few people who are not loaded could get together and go 1/3rds or 1/4s with very reasonable upfront cost and on-goings. Maybe just spec it with the chute and transponder and add stuff as you go. Hell, my phone has more GPS and weather functionality than a sport pilot should be needing. No wonder owners did their own display at Oshkosh.

I have about 250 hours in the A220 and find it the most fun plane I’ve ever flown. It is 20 MPH faster than my 180 HP Supercub, uses just over half the gas, and it takes off and lands in 250-300’ just like the Supercub.
