Fuel Injection and 1484cc big bore on a Rotax 912uls to bring it to 120hp with the same fuel consumption as before.

The smoothness and throttle response that it has now makes it hard to believe it’s the same engine. You could never even think about running this smooth after a carb sync. 1400rpm and there is no gearbox chatter and no airframe vibration (on high compression pistons!) With a 75in DUC prop I had to add 2.5 degrees of pitch to get the same static RPM as before. Indicated cruise at 5300rpm went from 85mph to 98mph(118 true) rate of climb went from 900fpm to just over 1,100fpm. Temps are all looking great and I have never seen better color on all the spark plugs.
