Repairing an Aphex 320A Compellor Strange problem

These aren't usually that hard to fix. The 3915 and 3914s go out a lot and the caps in the PS. Good luck with yours.

Can anyone tell me what the adjustable pots inside the chassis labelled VR105 and VR106 do?

VR105 adjusts the balance between the +15 and -15 volt rails so the drive pot, VR101 on the front panel, reads right on the scale. It makes up for small variations in +15 and -15 volts. VR106 does pretty much the same thing for the Output pot, VR103 on the front panel, but it does it by adjusting how far off ground the center wiper of VR103 is. Basically they center the Drive and Output pots. Hope that helped. Thanks for watching and commenting.

the Aphex's were decent. :) the last one I had worked pretty good especially for recording

Like other stuff though it all depends on the ear that tunes it but Aphex made it a little harder to mess up too bad. IMO
