These beats come from the venerable Blockhead. He met Aes at Boston University. They were both in the rap scene, but Blockhead essentially stated that hearing Aes rap made him quit rapping. Basically, he heard what greatness actually was, and realized he couldn't measure up. But goddamn can the man put down a sick beat. He produces a lot of Aes's stuff. P.S. He also produced the song I suggested yesterday; Bug Zapper :-D

@@iammrwack Yep. I wouldn't say it was in a bad way; he recognized that his skills weren't high enough to make it in the game, and as a result, he focused his energy into making beats. "I can spot a Duck Battalion by the Charlie Chaplin waddle" is such a great lyric because it requires interpreting multiple layers of cultural and historical references--basically he's saying "I know fascists/Nazis when I see them." Back in history, Aesop is a kind of performer performer and poet. He was pretty much a jester to the king. Although he was hilarious, most of his jokes were aimed at the king and he would get punished for it soAesop the original back into the whatever hundreds started writing i metaphors and codes still joking about the king except the king had no clue . Aesop rock does the exact same. He’s never going to say I walked down the block to the store he’s going to say I made my way through the concrete jungle filled with savage . Animals made my way to the watering hole, filled with beast and cannibals.

Daylight is a nice critique on the ignorance of others who are arrogant enough to ignore the struggles of the laborer (in context of the Labor Days album), whereas Nightlight is a critique on the personality of those arrogant peoples and how they portray themselves as the commander of their destiny, which unfortunately creates the position the laborer is in. 1 suggestion: idk with aes it might be a bit of work, but especially with a rapper with heavy and complicated lyrics it would help some people to have like the lyrics at the bottom in the vid. cool vid btw, the appreciation of aesop rock isnt really widespread

Here we go hear intro lingering right where the spiritual lyrics breathe Light into Night's air, brightly enlightening my mind quite unfair, but Aesop just Rocks me with rhymes so i dont care, when the drums in my ears hear the bass line appear im steered uncontrolably through each of the gears, exploring this journey until my necks hurting my head wont quit nodding and bobbing and turning, a twist in the torso my shoulders start rolling, hands start conducting while music keeps on flowing, shit... phones bout to die so ill hurry and post this

These reaction videos are awesome, sorry i'm catching up so late to you channel....Aesop is wild stuff man, helps to be real high and not care too much about each individual bar, it's more about the theme and stream of consciousness...all of his albums have absolute bangers tracks throughout and all different...1 question, do you have like a pre determined amount of high you get before these videos lol?
@iammrwack4 жыл бұрын
:-: It's ok. Better late then never people always say. I wouldn't so much always say being high helps also as a listener on his music you have to try to listen. Also it's not really so much a pre determined amount of high.. Its just coming down to pressing record and doing the dang thing lol.
