I'm so happy seeing your reaction! Most kpop reactors nowadays are newer kpop fans so they weren't able to capture the nostalgia part of the song and don't actually know SES. Even though I didn't actually grow up listening to SES, I found them and other 1st gen idols when going further the kpop rabbit hole more than a decade ago and so seeing the song being remaked really brought me a wave of nostalgia. I love how excited y'all were! And the parts where you guys gasped and commented were also the parts where I gasped too. This reaction is really a breath of fresh air from the others.

Aespa's Dreams Come True 2021 version is a bop, S.E.S. 1998 version is a bop but the ORIGINAL song is a song called Rakastuin Mä Luuseriin by a finnish duo Nylon Beat from 1996. I grew up listening to Nylon Beat's music in Finland and they are iconic here and this song was one of their biggest hits. They made an english version of it called Like A Fool and SM bought the rights and thus the S.E.S. version was born. The Nylon Beat and the S.E.S. versions are pretty much the same song, Aespa made it different.

I totally flipped over when i figured that BOA is producer for this project. Can't be failed. Because she grew up together with SM in 90's. She was a fan of S.E.S, a trainee at SM, and eventually the first global artist by SM. she is literally SM itself.

Its a remake of SM senior SES dreams come true remake ver with guidance from Bada n Boa too being part of the production. Original from finland girlgroup. Nylon beat. N SM bought music from producer n remake to Korea song n some new essence to it. All versions are 💎 with their own charm n colors. I seriously think remake songs really needed sometimes. So as to keep old trend song active live n build up new colors introducing to new gen. Its a good one for not just the new singers n Company.. but also the original producer n singers cuz ppl that nv heard of theirs will get info n go search for them .. thats what some of us did. As someone who's recent to the whole K-Pop scene, I could only appreciate what Aespa and BoA and SM were doing on a theoretical level. I love that they're paying respect to their roots. But seeing someone who grew up with the original being satisfied with this updating of a classic; priceless!
