Worth noting that the entire song is about SMCU lore, just like any other aespa's singles. This comeback tells a story about their arrival in KWANGYA (the digital world beyond the FLAT/internet) to save their Avatars who are being manipulated by Black Mamba (the villain) and now trapped in his hallucination, that's why this comeback is called "the Hallucination Quest". They each went some sort of trials orchestrated by Black Mamba. 1:55 Giselle surrounded by her clones who seemed to be glitching or malfunctioning. 2:22 NingNing surrounded by toxic emoji, maybe this is a portrayal of the toxicity on the internet. 2:25 Winter have to faced enemies in a shaped of smokes. 2:50 Karina trapped in some sort of glass box. Luckily, they passed the trial and managed to break free from Black Mamba's hallucination and now they be really pissed off, maybe this is why the song called Savage lmao. They each gained new powers. 3:10 Giselle can create/summon digital weapon. Like some sort of magic if you wanna call it. 3:28 Winter got new weapon. 3:59 NingNing got new hacking tools. 4:18 Karina with new melee weapon that could punch a moving bullet lmao. Anyway, after defeating Black Mamba and successfully rescuing their Avatar, Black Mamba released his venom upon defeat and left Aespa and their ae trapped as seen in 5:25. But then suddenly the Naevis (the AI who created the bridge between real and digital world) came to the rescue. She sacrificed herself creating a portal so that aespa can escape. And this is where the story end for this comeback. I'm guessing next comeback will be about their quest to find Naevis' memories and resurrect her as told in 6:15. edit: some missed details and grammars 😊
