They scouted him for his visuals but in the end he became a good rapper and dancer by working hard. Same with Taeyong. He was scouted on the street. He even admitted he was a bad dancer and his trainer gave up on him but he worked hard and became a main dancer. Karina was an ulzzang when she was recruited. But look at her now 4 years later, she is a main dancer. SM is really a good company if you want to develop your talent.
