I was on the fence at first, but the more I think about it, I kinda see this as a palette cleanser after several TTs that will always be hard to top. This kinda balances out the discography while also giving something new. Juat my perspective though.

Their visuals (especially outfits and styling) are perfection. The song itself is fine, but I don't see another chart dominating Supernova here. Its to simplistic and runs the risk of getting old rather fast. I wasn't sure about Supernova at first as well and that one very quickly grew into one of my favorite aespa tracks. So first impressions can be misleading and I might be very wrong about Whiplash. I certainly will give it a few more listens and see how my opinion changes over time. But right now after only a few listens, its just "ok" for me (not bad, but nothing for the playlist either). Happy for everyone who loves this one of course.

Hey, another concept of this was because Whiplash is supposed to be remixed by all of us using the WHIPLASH. You could find it in aespa’s site. You could literally give different for Whiplash. This was I believe the holding concept, hence, the song to be not in hyperbeat since it is YOUR job.

Don’t get me wrong their title tracks r always hype asf. Theyve been topping each title track after the next but this time this one didn’t do it for me. Armageddon is better for sure.

It's not their best but also not their worst. It kinda disappointed me sonically bc it is very one tone and a supposed club anthem should have that part you go crazy. I like these types of songs but yeah I expected more from aespa

Kpop is currently full of groups that do too much and sound like shit. One song that’s just a chill banger is not going to kill you. It’s genuinely the first Aespa song I’ve even liked 💀 no cringe lyrics or annoying over-production
