I do NOT want to "go more mainstream". I have no intention of becoming a rock star. I have no ambitions of being on TV or in big magazines. My one and only goal is to make music that is true to who I am. Why can't a song be dark AND melodic? Who wrote that rule and why should anyone obey it? Why should I try to fit any conventional notion of what "dark" music or "pop" music is supposed to be? There are just as many conformists in the underground as there are in the mainstream.

NGL you guys are the reason I get out of bed some mornings. The reason I keep returning to music, and believing that "Yes, I can!" because F*** other people's negative thoughts about something that's mine. I want to share with them, sure, but I do it for myself. You're both amazing people and awesome artists besides. I appreciate everything you have done, and everything you will do. I don't understand why people label music the way they do... It's not so black and white... And while I would love the opportunity to talk to you guys, exchange ideas, etc, I know that's not likely to ever happen. I'm just glad you're still making music even now in 2020. You keep doing you, because that's what I like listening to. :)

well said. An artist I really like Gary Numan (2018) said that as soon as he wrote his music without huge marketing people whispering in his ear (my interpretation of the interview ) that he was happier and his music got better. I cant agree more. He has never written better music. Your music is very unique and my band discussed that people will really like your musical style or dislike it. We think its new, fresh and a cool hybrid off many things. I cant get enough. I wish I had discovered you years ago but am so happy you have a good catalog now for me to listen too!

I enjoy variety, while my non-conformity came to the attention of Military Intelligence. When that comes to weapon's research and development fun, those people go through every detail about non-standard weapon's research with unique applications. But this material tends to be more often used as an Adult-Toy-Implementation for Sensation Play than Conventional Terror.

When did I ever say I wasn't influenced by Marilyn Manson? What I said was "if Manson is all you see, you're missing a lot". How am I stifling anyone's opinion? They are making an assertion, I am disagreeing. That is called a conversation. I've come to realize there is no reasoning with people who have already made up their minds.

Marilyn Manson influenced my style and taste soo much as a teenager. I think I grew out of it but he will always be my idol. He admitted he was a schizophrenic and I think that was brave of him. Most of the time especially in the world of fame, having mental illness tends to go badly for people. But I’m glad it worked out for him. (At least in one video) he admitted it. I’m not really sure how much of it was scripted.

What you're suggesting I do is homogenize my work in order to appeal to a specific audience for the purpose of making money. That is the very definition of selling out and completely counter to everything that I stand for. I don't do this to sell records, I do this because I love it. My music isn't for you, no big deal.

Sunlight hurts my *eyes* after 5 years working 7p-7a but not from anyting I was born with, or skin-wise. Instead I'm legally disabled (besides chronic UTIs I don't feel like it thankfuly) but need a prosthetic device to take a piss and have never known otherwise. High five for suck things that hopefully science will manage someday. And MANY thanks to Daniel Graves for his music that I love to listen to, whether that's in between patient call-bell or when I go out to dance :D

Two of the main types of people in this world are those who adapt and those who do not. The person who wrote said 500 word essay was part of the latter group. Our actions define our character, and our characters clash with one another and we learn from each other. This is true of everyone. Those who have had more experience clashing with other personas will realize the beauty in this music, even if it isn't their particular favorite. 6/5 for the music video, 5/5 for the music. Great job!
