I really liked the story. There were some problems for sure,like, i really wanted to see more of Will strugling to rule, but Kellan and Ruby were a very good duo and that final battle was really good. I'm exited to see what they will do with ixalan.

I agree wholeheartedly that WotC NEED to increase the number of articles for each set as we end up with this weird situation currently that no matter how good the writing, the story always feels incomplete or rushed. I wanted to see Will's struggles over ruling and his grief at the loss of his parents. As a character I liked Kellan. Though he's naïve and idealistic it felt right for the character and it'll be interesting to see in the future how he grows. Also, I want the Kellan and Oko meet up lol.

i think this is the first time we get a an actual important character that is straight up the scion of a planeswalker. like yeah we have Jodah(distant descendant of Urza/Mishra) or Niambi(Teferi's daughter) but Kellan being Oko's son is big imo because he is gonna be part of the next story arc afaik.

You know i think another big lore theory that would make sense is that oko is from lorwyn he has the same color pallate as oona and the fae on lorwyn are known for playing tricks like oko does and we know he comes from a plane ruled by elites and we know the elites of lorwyn other than the fae were the elves so its safe to say that the elves saw oko as a threat like oona was and tried to kill him but it just made him a planeswalker this is also further backed that were getting a return to lorwyn set later on in this arc

Thanks, Seiben! Always great to see your stuff. I agree completely that these stories need to be longer. I think I'm chaffing a bit against the desparked planeswalkers as focal characters too. I like the Kellan story, and I think it would be fun to have planeswalkers show up in the stories of normal beings, clearly linking things together, but not being the focuses of individual stories. I think it kinda feels like the desparked planeswalkers are trying to have the cake and eat it too

I agree with this, it would be nice if the desparked Planeswalkers got the " Superman" treatment. Showing up when things got dire for a cool moment, but not being the main focus a majority of the time. Something that comes to mind is the Amonkhet gods being the focus compared to the Planeswalkers of the set.

It´s a good story and in that last chapter we understood Rowans decions a (tiny) but better she felt weak agains the phyrexians seeing how they killed their parents so she want´s the power to be stronger then her foes Oko being Kellans father is a really good twist and it would be kinda interesting to learn how the faes of Eldraine are diffrent from the ones Oko is a part of and what his homeworld is since the fey run the place (it´s likely not Lorwyn since he doesn´t look anything like a Lorwyn Fae) also could it be that Oko is actually from that western world that will be introduced next year since his pants look like they would come from a place like this xD Another big Question: How did Ashiok planeswalk with Erite ? It didn´t look like they would use omenpaths so is that an ability the planeswalker just got back ?

It's not too bad, tbh. He's a 2/2 double striker for 3 that gives other creatures +1/+0 per each aura attached to him, and has a 2 cost adventure that can tutor an aura. Definitely strong, but not format warping.

Personally, I do think there will be a meeting and maybe a showdown between them. But I'm not sure that will be the capstone arc of the story. Usually they don't reveal the whole plot right away. Think like how we had no idea when Aether Revolt came out how it was going to tie in and end in War of the Spark, or that Bolas was even involved since we mainly just saw Tezzeret and Dovin as the antagonists.

I feel like some sets can be 1 like brothers war, aftermath, but a set that's after mom should be two. They could of focus on Rowen in this one and the second one being will. I wish they went back to two blocks a set

I don’t like what they did with Rowan. It doesn’t sit right with me. As for Will, I wish I saw more of him. And it’s sad to see no mention of Garruk. Maybe in a future set? As for what I liked, the backstory to Oko was nice. Kellen and Rubys story was cool for the most part. And with Kelley taking an omenpath, maybe we’ll see Oko again? That would be nice. Maybe he’ll show up in that new Wild West themed set?

True he is childish and naive, but shows signs of steady growth and great willpower, making him a great canvas for a hero's journey type of narrative. Story of Wilds of Eldraine was cool except Ashiok. A consistently poorly written character. Their motive and origins are never expanded upon for the sake of keeping them mysterious and edgy but the same trick over and over again isn't an appealing story narrative. I'd love to know more Ashiok and see more of them in actual action rather than in the sidelines. One can argue that's just in their nature to manipulate and sneak around being blue black but it's not really elaborated on either. Ashiok wasn't the originator of the slumbering curse just a beneficiary through happenstance. Sad to say that's all they ever do is flutter around and suckle on dreams oppurtunistically. Then to just see them get obliterated by a single strike from a kid and Will Kenrith a desparked planeswalker and character that has been narratively shown to talk things out rather than fight prowess took out Ashiok in one hit isn't amazing for Ashiok's power level.

He should still have his spark I just hope they don't just decide to mess his story up to. Don't get me wrong I like the stories but for a company who already is losing so many players and collectors they should do everything they can to not mess up the stories of the characters that people love. But of course they were like, Hey Watch This! Lol
