Hands up, I was one of those people who didn't want Punk back, not because of AEW or on behalf of the Elite because I didn't even watch AEW but because my perception of Punk was that he was not an easy guy to work with and at the time WWE was on a rise with the Cody push, the new world title and Roman being all absent dominant. So I thought that Punk would go in there and demand to be put in the main event. Be the guy pushed to hold the strap throwing away all fo the storylines that they were working so hard on now for over a year. I wish, so wish that Punk had done an interview similar to what he did a week ago back when he quit WWE, because I think I would have understood him a bit better. But then by Punks own admission he was a different person back then so maybe not. Now I don't exactly know Punks character. I don't know if he's as humble as he makes himself out to be on that interview but I do think, just looking at what he has done since returning that I was wrong about my perception of his character. If I could and if I thought Punk gave even a little of a $hit about what I thought of him, I would apologize to the man personally. I was wrong about Punk and it has nothing to do with marking out for AEW, 2011 as a whole made me quit watching Wrestling all together for ten years and it was something that I loved watching so maybe I just unconsciously blamed the main disruptor in all of that years shenanigans for it all and I think I was unfair. Punk has been amazing since his return and it sucks that he's injured because I think if he wasn't he could have been a lot better. I don't know if I'm a huge fan of punk now because I'm just getting around to liking the guy but I do know that I don't cringe anymore when I think about him working the company and I do know that AEW in regard to this is full of hot air and envy. I was wrong about Punk. And right now AEW is trash, I hope the good talent bail out soon because this seems to going the same route as WCW went down.
