This. Alvarez literally timed the entire thing and himself said it lasted 6 seconds start to finish and the facelock was 4 seconds. Joe obviously said to let him go on his way over, because the amount of time required to say let him go, wait for a response, then go over would be a hell of a lot longer than 4 seconds. It's definitely not the right thing to do but he told Tony several times to fix the situation after Perry cussed out people telling him to stop his stupid glass bs. After Punk was asked by Shiavone to help, he told Perry to let it go. He agreed and then went on their biggest show and insulted Punk on TV. So Punk went to him and Perry told him "to do something about it". Again, it's not gentleman like by Punk but Perry asked for it and Tony Khan did nothing to control the situation. Now they air the clip on TV which only makes them look like absolute fools and confirms everything Punk said about the incident.

I truly believe that Jack Perry manipulated the whole incident into existence. He was told no on the glass spot and afterward, went around those managers to get it approved by a different bunch of executives. Perhaps executive vice presidents, in this case. This is SUCH typical office power plays and politicking that my only disappointment is that Punk played into it. And if anyone doubts that Jungle Boy was trying to get this to happen, the obvious power play nature of this whole issue is the reason Punk yelled at Tony when they were pulled apart.

Punk's camp is telling him not to do it, and Buck's camp is telling him to do it, both of which were placed into positions of power. Imagine if you work somewhere, and you're given two conflicting directions and neither side is willing to budge. TK should've let Punk leave after Brawl Out happened, and at the end of the day Punk and the Bucks couldn't coexist in the same company while having positions of power like TK wanted.

For this whole time going back to Brawl Out, Lyin' Alvarez has insisted that Punk must be fired from the company essentially because he's a bad dude and is lying all the time, based on information fed to him from certain people within AEW that is completely false. Technically Bryan your wrong, Punk actually said he choked him a little bit and Samoa Joe asked him to stop. Which I'm sure he did while breaking it up. So technically he did choke him and stop after Joe asked him. I think it's time for you to rewatch the interview, and not have selective memory.

What is Dave talking about? This sort of stuff has been done before and it's usually a disaster. Everyone said before they aired this that it would be a disaster, they aired it and surprise suprise it's an absolute disaster. They started copyright claiming Twitter uploads, removed the clip from their KZbin recap. They know how disastrous this was and they can't roll it back now. Ospreay was an absolute idiot too. Saying that in front of Renee who looked utterly embarrassed.

Ospreay was 100% right and had every right to call out Hunters bullshit,Especially when will was busting his ass traveling between the UK and Japan during the pandemic trying to keep 2 companies afloat,traveling 18 hours a flight,And killing his body in front of silence in japan due to the pandemic restrictions.No one was wrestling at the rate will was across he world on a consistent basis.I'd be pissed too if the guy i turned down working for tried to bury my work ethic just because he was pissy about it.

Yes and Dave saying AEW can't be a punching bag because of HHH making a nonspecific comment, yet AEW spent 5 years of constant comments on air about WWE. Guess Dave forgot about that part.

@@97ECW HHH said it on the Macafee show and not WWE television and he also didn't mention Ospreay by name so no it wasn't 100% right for him to say anything. If he's doing a media interview and he wants to vent about the perceived notion that he is the one that HHH is talking about than fine. To continue to talk about your competition on your TV show instead of focusing on making your own product better and advancing your own storylines is childish and short sighted.

Nobody is talking about the match. Everyone is talking about the comment . The company needs to focus on making the Tv more entertaining and not calling out people from other organizations on valuable TV time.

A few things that I took from this . 1. Dave is on the payroll. All of his reasoning shifts the blame from AEW to Punk. 2. His knowledge of what the angle was meant to do, was bring him back, shows you that he’s in tune with what’s going on bts. 3. It looks like the Wrestling Observer fan era is relatively over. I can’t find a single person that still respects Dave.

Actually he was sounding kinda nervous to me. Like he wasn't sure how it was going to look, but he definitely knew internally that he reported some falsehoods about the incident.
