That’s millions of dollars . It cost 500,000 a night to film a dynamite . While we can say on some nights the gates may help with that it’s not most nights. The game isn’t out so he’s not making it back that way. His biggest toy seller and his longest merchandise draw left to join the competition . And tony had them make more punk toys more than the average because Tony thought oh punks a bigger name( not realizing that Cody had the bigger following and the younger followers) so he hemorrhaged millions on punk merch, danhausen tho seems to be helping somewhat so that’s not a complete waste. But it takes 3 guys to make up for your lost of one guy. So no tony isn’t gonna spend money to do over trucks to erase punk when he already to erase Cody ( somewhat)

Just playing devil's advocate here, but there could be a major contractual issue with AEW displaying his face. Kind of like when Vince would not allow Punk to hang out that one time, because he was under an AEW contract. It could very well be an issue with the lawyers.

I don't like wrestling, but depending on how his contract was structured and the clause agreements between both parties, they may not be able to legally use his face, image, or 'likeness' even if they wanted to...that's considered promo, which translates to merch (which they'll probably be forced to pull all of his merchandise) and ticket sales, it also creates a potential issue with going to a new organization if they his face all over everything like he's still there. They probably just haven't had the time to change it all since it just happened, so the only option is to cover it until they get new ones made.
