Fight Forever looks like a legit mix of No Mercy and Here Comes The Pain/RAW 2. It looks really fun to play. It seems the moves are faster overall, allowing for a more action packed, arcade-like experience.

@@yamiymikxxo2794 Depends on what gets duplicated from a game. Legends of Wrestlemainia was trash but the relieve , rewrite and redefine feature has so much potential. For me the video package is not such a big deal but for some that is a huge deal. Using the relieve rewrite feature you could do Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley to relieve then Brock Lesnar verse the Undertaker at wrestlemania to rewrite you could do a fatal 4 way elimination MMA match with Brock Lesnar , riddle, Dan Sever, ken shamrock and if you win you fight Jon Jones in the octogen to unlock Jon Jones and the Octogen . Or you can do The Rock vs John Cena to relieve, The rock vs Brock Lesnar for rewrite, The Rock vs Logan Paul vs Hulk Hogan vs Rowdy Rowdy Piper vs the miz in a redefine match and if you win you get a match with Batista in backstage area you win you unlock New York Time Square, Bar, and parking lot.

The animations should look good considering 2K is still using the same animations that got mocaped by THQ back in 2013 for the bulk of the moves and THQNordic is clearly using them as well but with the physics amped up like All Stars but not as absurd

2k is definitely a more realistic harder hitting style were as Fight Forever is more of a cartoonie arcade feel. I can't say one looks better than the other though. They both look good in their own way. It will all come down to what AEW ends up offering in their game experience.

No mercy is overrated. Smackdown 2 is far superior and the fact you bandwagoners always cry No Mercy as being the best is nuts especially when the AEW looks at best a love letter to Smackdown 1 and 2 than No Mercy with the wackiness and creativity of fun in game as frankly it was never liked that in No Mercy and I still play both till this day so yeah evidence or proof of my opinion, just validated it. No Mercy was great in technicality but limited in just general flow of gameplay as it seems like people forgot how janky No Mercy was. In Smackdown 2, simple typical “arcade” fighting feeling that had a great flow and well it has connected on to this day as unfortunately wwe 2k23. Being honest I get annoyed when people want a remaster of an old game when it is not necessary

I had all the N64 games back in the day... IIRC it was 4 games. WCW vs NWO, WCW vs NWO Revenge, Wrestlemania 2000, and the last one No Mercy. I have been waiting years for this type of game to make a comeback. The graphics are definitely better in the 2k games, however I can accept the graphics being a bit more on the cartoony side IF the gameplay is smooth like the old school N64 games. I still remember getting together with all my friends to watch Wrestling on TV then playing the games afterwards. One of the titles used to let you make custom belts that we would put on the line every week against each other.... good times!!! I am very excited for this game. :)

I like both. AEW seems more fast pace. I don't think there will ever be a better game than No Mercy in my opinion but I'm glad to have a second option. Overall wrestling games are improving. I just hope when this AEW game comes out its nothing like the TNA wrestling game. Only thing i don't like about the AEW game is the skateboard. That's sort of childish. As far as 2k23 i could careless about the my rise. They can't seem to get it right. It's stiff. The storylines aren't all that great.

AEW is based on Virtual Pro Wrestling 2's style of mechanics. With that, I believe people are not going to really look back on the 2k games after learning the mechanics for AEW. It'll just be a technically superior "fighter game" while also being accessible. My only wish is that they include the 'Shoot fighting style' from VPW2 and maybe get an actual MMA to appear in the game. That would be so fun. The shoot fighting system wasn't featured in "No Mercy", but it does a lot of freshen up the gameplay. You can do your own strike combinations and shift into a grapple and whatnot, it's more flexible than simple wresting and counters.

@@incognitofool6516 uh, gameplay. The 2K games have been basically trash for years. You guys who don't know AKI and those older games just don't get it. They're not just good wrestling games, they're outstanding 'fighting games' made by people with legit talent. They have literal Hideyuki Iwashita directing this new game. They're as iconic to people that understand that as something like Street Fighter is. The underlying mechanics and formula are brilliantly designed. Also, people, even younger folks know Fire Pro World, that formula hasn't changed in over a decade. VPW2 and No Mercy have a formula like that and soon to be AEW Fight Forever. Def Jam: Vendetta actually has a lot of the same mechanics and was worked on by Hideyuki Iwashita but the rap theme and whatnot didn't do it for a lot of people but the gameplay is better than basically any of the newer 2K wrestling games.

I think 2k23 looks smoother, and it's more slowed down, which makes it look more real, and less arcadey. In saying that, I think that Fight Forever is going to be more fun overall, because it's more of a shoutout to WWF No Mercy than anything, and that game is one of the best wrestling games of all time! AEW definitely has the better pop up powerbomb animation. WWE completely screwed up that move lol. Both games do good at representing the moves though, some look cleaner on different moves too. The 2K series really isn't a simulation anymore. WWE 2K22 added a new combo system and sped up the gameplay. It's slower than Fight Forever, but still not exactly realistic. If you want an actual wrestling simulator, I recommend Fire Pro Wrestling World. In that game you actually have to sell for your opponent, and the way the cpu behaves is far more accurate to how they wrestle in real life.

Wie ein altes, klassisches Smackdown Spiel, ich mein Wrestling lädt perfekt dazu ein ein Arcad Spiel zu werden.. 2K muss ja unbedingt auf realismus setzen. Macht das Spiel einfach kaputt. SChon acht Jahre nicht mehr so ein ein Wrestling Spiel gefreut.. voralln Yukes und THQ mit im Boot, siehste sofort :D
