Jay White) [DUD] (-100 for the outcome) The Good: Claudio VS Buddy Matthews: A good, hard-hitting Zero Hour Match. The outcome saw Claudio go over. Trios Match: A decent & fun opener here. I feel like Adam Copeland deserves better than what we're seeing on television. But the match was enjoyable! The outcome saw him, Sting, & Darby Allin go over. Tag Team Title Ladder Match: A fantastic 4-Way Ladder Match for the World Tag Team Straps. There were some sick spots in this one. But in the end, Starks & Big Bill retain the titles. TBS Title Match: A surprisingly decent 3-Way for the TBS Title. A little botchy, yes. But these 3 showed up to work. The outcome saw Julia Hart win the title. Are you kidding me? Julia Hart is still very green, but let's see how she can develop herself as the champion. Will Ospreay is the biggest acquisition to AEW: Will Ospreay is officially All Elite, which means we could see him in Impact at any time. Texas Death Match: One of the most brutal, violent matches in company history! This match has the image of Dreamer VS CW the Hair, Sandman VS Sabu, Funk VS Foley, Penta VS Callihan, etc. The outcome saw Swerve go over for the 2nd time in this feud. Golden Jets VS Young Bucks: A great tag team match, with some big stakes. The outcome saw the Golden Jets defeat The Young Bucks to take their tag team title shots. The Mid: ROH World Title Match: Why in the world do we have a world title being defended on a pre-show? WHY?! SOMEBODY TELL ME... WWWHHHYYY?! The match was nothing out of the ordinary. The outcome saw Kingston retain the ROH World Title. ROH World Tag Team Title Match: A fine match for the ROH World Tag Team straps. MJF was looking for a partner to defend his tag team titles for his injured partner. Samoa Joe wanted to help under 1 condition. He gets a shot at the AEW World Title. The match was fine for what it was, and the outcome was as expected. The Bad: International Title Match: Why did we have to see this again? This match was supposed to be a no-brainer. The outcome was supposed to be Jon Moxley winning back the title. But it was typical AEW booking. TK, why do you have to book the light heavyweights to go over the heavyweights in any big match situation? Women's World Title Match: A bad match for the Women's World Title. But the outcome was fantastic! Timeless Toni Storm wins the title. And I hope I never see Shida challenge for another women's title for a while. AEW World Title Match: This was the most anticipated match on the card. This was the match that we were all excited for the most. Maxwell Jacob Friedman VS Jay White for the AEW World Championship. So BCG takes out Adam Cole on Dynamite. And then they take out the champion early in the night. Adam Cole defends the title on behalf of his tag team partner only to have the champ hover back to the ring on an ambulance truck to defend his title. The match was 30 minutes. 30 MINUTES! And guess who won the match. The one-legged champion. MJF goes into a year as the champion, burying Switchblade in the process. Description: Full Gear 2023 was a mixed bag. You did have a lot of good matches per usual. But you also had some shitty booking in the process... Per usual. The match that suffered the most was actually the main event. Not only was it a shit match, it also had a promising star from New Japan buried in the process. Overall, the show was a mixed bag. Overall: 6 out of 10

Despite AEW having abysmal builds to its PPVs, they most certainly always deliver. This show was alright but it was also pretty fun. Can’t wait to see all the Ospreay dream matches being thrown out immediately from Snowman Khan before he gets relegated to ROH lmao

Sometimes i don t understand why matches are l'ESS good because they are in zéro jour or kick off WE all know that Kingston vs lethal and castagnoli vs Matthews Can at least reach 3,5 stars. I m disappointed by Cassidy vs moxley

A real mixed bag of a PPV, pulling a bait and switch at the beginning of the show with MJF getting pulled due to injury and replaced with Adam Cole WHO'S ALSO INJURED, only for MJF to end up competing anyways, what was the point? Idk if this was the plan but Jay White's credibility as a main eventer is dead, he couldn't be a one legged MJF who wrestled earlier in the night and had help from the Gunns and a belt shot? Now conversely, Hangman/Swerve is a late MOTY and fucking Swerve, after that match and having back to back PPV wins over Hangman Page. He's a made main eventer now, he's gotta be world champ at some point in the next year. Also Ospreay signing with AEW is a bit disappointing for me as I wanted him in TNA but if AEW does him right, I won't complain.

Hmmmmmmmm This show would've been better if 1.Texas Deathmatch main evented 2.MJF & Jay White was shorter cause that match did not need to go to 30 minutes or if it did main event 30 minutes then don't do the stupid leg story I just don't get why they did that. Let them go all out. Great PPV poor Main Event

Why would the Deathmatch Main? Clearly, MJF/White for the AEW Title is gonna Main, and they obviously had to build suspense on MJF's injury story. I agree that the match ddn't need to go 30 mins., 20-25 would have been fine, but are you surprised? It's MJF and the AEW Title! He's in all likelihood gonna get one of the biggest amounts of time on the show.

@@b1galbos89 Lemme put it in this exaggerated way so you could get my mindset. WrestleMania 25 Undertaker vs HBK put on the best match of the show and then a good match followed and then I died in the main event. Now it is exaggerated because people were still alive in the match and they had some cool spots love the cutter. But this match had me bored and not only that the loser got devalued. Because Jay White lost to a crippled. Great build meh match.

@@FortniteMoonlight69 Well that's a no brainer. Everybody and their dog knows that Undertaker & Michaels should have Mained WM25. Even all the talent that had to follow that match knew that they weren't topping it. At least they corrected that mistake the following year at WM26. But that's WWE. AEW is different, and for most of their PPV's thus far, the AEW World Title has gone last, with a few exceptions (Ie, Mox/Omega's Unsanctioned Match at Full Gear 2019 over the AEW Title Match that night between Jericho/Cody & the 1st Stadium Stampede at Double Or Nothing 2020 over the AEW Title Match that night between Mox/Lee). And with it being MJF, and the injury angle that they were doing, obviously the World Title match is the one going last.
