It’s more likely that Tony and Co was holding onto it as insurance, in the event that CM spoke out vocally against AEW, they didn’t really have much to gain from them releasing it early on as the attention was good for them. Now the attention is bad for them but with the footage they can twist that around in a favorable way for some if not most of the people commenting on it. Big question though is how will it affect CM? He’s in WWE now and WWE fans will defend him even if he was 100% in the wrong and vice versa. Best case scenario for entertainment is for CM to respond back and get himself into hot water over in WWE, that’d be funny to see lol
