This hits me differently. As a kid I remember watching all these guys with my mom and little sister. Wrestling is still a big part of my life. It's something I wanted to do before my health became an issue. I lost my mom a few short months ago. She would've loved seeing all these guys together in the ring. What I love about AEW is how they respect, acknowledge and cherish WRESTLING HISTORY, PAST CHAMPIONSHIPS and LEGENDS. AEW treats the whole wrestling universe as canon and they do not live in a bubble. Making this decision can easily start feuds and revisit past storylines, since a feud existed in the past, there is history and the feud doesn't seem shallow. It's like a comic-verse of wrestling where things can be canon and be acknowledged when it makes sense in the story.
