Disneyland Main Street USA is the “opening act” at all Disney parks, being the part of the park guests walk through before going through the castle to the primary part of the parks that includes the rides and shows. Main Street is actually more inspired by Fort Collins Colorado than Marceline

Good point! While lots of people think Main Street in Disneyland was mostly inspired by Marceline, Missouri, where Walt Disney grew up, it's true that Fort Collins, Colorado, had a big influence too. The reason Fort Collins was an inspiration is because of its historic buildings and charming downtown area. Harper Goff, who worked on designing Disneyland with Walt Disney, was from Fort Collins and used photos of his hometown to inspire Main Street's look. The buildings and style of Fort Collins helped shape how Main Street looks, blending Disney's memories with Goff's designs.
