So a couple quick things that were unfortunately left out 1. This starts about a month after the wedding Rudeus mentions that sylphy stays at the dorms protecting Princess Ariel and gets one night off every 3 days (you best believe they enjoyed there time together) 2. The anime partially censored nanahoshis breakdown but she was smashing here head against the wall (part of the reason why the crowd was shocked was because she was slightly bloody) After taking here to the infirmary Rudeus decides to let her stay at his place so when she wakes up she will have someone she knows by her side 3. When zanoba is bringing her there Rudeus apologizes for relying on him to which zanoba dismisses his concerns saying she not heavy promoting Rudeus to wonder about her diet, She ends up staying a week at the mansion (sylphy also stays to watch over her) 4. After that Rudeus brings cliff and zanoba to look over her research elenalise tags along, when nanohoshi is brought by Rudeus and sees them in her research lab she makes a comment about them ravishing her (I think we know what she implied) something cliff takes offense to 5. After the success they depart the lab intending to celebrate, linia persuna Ariel sylphy luke and badigahi tag along 6. When they arrive at the tavern nanahoshi plops down a bag of coins and go to rent the space but badigadi set an even bigger bag down saying he’ll pay and for the bar keep to prepare everything the have for a banquet 7. As the celebration goes on everyone starts to get buzzed and we learn that sylphy is clingy drunk as she tell Rudeus to pat her and and nibble her ear she also tells him that shes jealous how he takes about rujerid 8. (This is the one thing I’m upset they cut because it was nanahoshis funniest line in my opinion) at one point she comes over to Rudy and sylphy and start berating them for being so affectionate in public she also yells at them for having the audacity to partake in intercourse will she was depressed saying she could hear the creaking and moaning coming from the bedroom the line was something like *”YOU TWO WERE HAVING SEX WHILE IM HAVING A MENTAL BREAKDOWN”* If I missed anything or was wrong please correct

I love the theory that Sylphy was being louder intentionally because she's still insecure about Nanahoshi and wanted her to hear it as a way of declaring that Rudeus is hers and Nanahoshi can't have him.

Rudy going to immediately help Nanahoshi is so great cause he didn’t want her to fall into that depressive slump that he went through, in his previous life and before he met Slyphie again. Those dead eyes and empty stare Nanahoshi gave Rudeus reminded him of his own in his past life, and when they found her carrying that knife it probably reminded him of when anytime was suicidal or when he tried to kill himself after Sarah yelled at him. He knew he had to take action for one of his friends, and he did.

Nanahoshi being a completely empty shell was a bit longer in the light novel, in the anime its shown to have been resolved in a day or two but she was like that for at least a week before everyone was able to show her their idea. He actually even addressed that in the LN that it might have been her poor way of communicating her feelings via the letter that caused all that bs to begin with. There are 2 things you guys need to know 1. What they meant was that rudeus can’t use incantationless healing magic but can do incantationless spells for every other magic and sylphy was saying maybe he doesn’t know how it feel deep down to be on the other side of the spell because for incantationless magic, rudeus can basically feel the spell forming and that’s why it’s easy for him to learn new spells and even form his own spells. Sylphy can use incantationless healing magic that’s why she offered to teach rudeus how to do it. 2. The summoning magic has to be very specific as you guys guessed it right. To avoid sending he back but in another country or in the past, so that’s why she’s taking slow steps to figure out what she’s summoning, when and where she’s summoning it from so that she can send herself back to her hometown at the exact moment she left.

Believe it or not in the LN the Nanahoshi scene is even more visceral. She screams, starts clawing her face and hitting her face on the wall and then goes into that almost dead like state. Nanahoshi is there for about 6 years.... If we notice she is literally the other side of the coin of Rudeus, the antithesis. She still has connections to her original world. She has loved ones there, she was loved there, she has dreams and plans for her life. When she got teleported in the 6 sided world she became a recluse, she is avoiding contact, she eats trash, she even wears a mask to avoid connection. She became what Rudeus was in his previous life. Rudeus had no connections in his previous life, he was a recluse(due to being abused + trauma but... still) and when he died and got reincarnated in the six sided world he started anew, has loved ones, he is truly loved and admired by alot of people, has aspirations, dreams and plans.

From what I can tell, Rudy has been helping Nanahoshi as much as possible. She just doesn’t want help and refuses it. Rudy used to be like this. All she wants is Rudy to be quiet and act as a mana battery for her when she needs it. She got upset when Rudy tried to connect through small talk. I get the impression she doesn’t want to “waste time” getting home and probably has figured out taboo knowledge to boot. Imagine if she could recreate the mana disaster how people would treat her. The magic circles were neat. It really is like laying out a circuit pattern. You could actually see the corner shorting, growing really bright, before it discharged and burned the paper. There was just no way to connect the circles in some places and not others in one layer. The multilayered solution is so obvious in hindsight. But sometimes when you’re so deep into something you need someone from the outside to offer suggestions that can see a different angle because they don’t know what’s “not possible”. Anyway, I noticed Nanahoshi stopped wearing her mask around them, even if it’s just for now. She doesn’t seem to like people seeing her Japanese features or young face. I think this experience has opened her up a little. These are my two cents; your opinion may vary.

Her freakout wasn't the product of failures piling up, but about a big moment she was hyping up failing. She spent a few years learning the customs and language of that world with Orsted, a few more years learning about magic circles and building up passive income to suport her research, and the last two years bruteforcing different kinds of circles to learn the "programming language" of the system. That circle was the fruit of all that effort and it failed. She'd put all her hopes on it. The breakthrough of using multiple layers unlocked a whole different avenue to pursue things. She could dump off functions to different circles and then bring them all back together. In the book, that circle that worked was like a piece of cardboard, but it's more impressive to show it as an array. More complex circles to come would be thicker.

Someone headcanoned that Rudeus has the wrong visualization when it comes to silent casting. He pictures pooling blood in his extremities and sending it forth, which is how he does attack magic. Healing magic doesn't work with the same visualization. He's habituated to his mental image, so he can't rewrite it. He's gotten to the same trap that makes silent casting so hard to learn for most mages. Roxy's managed to shorten her chants, but even she can't do it silent.

Huge probability its used bottle In Japan (i dont know other areas but atleast in my prefecture) you have to differentiate the trash, in case of plastic bottle, the label and cap is different type of trash from the bottle itself so you have to take it off from the bottle before you throw it to the bin

This is where Mushoku Tensei set apart from most isekais which dont even highlight the issue of 'can't going back'. Takina who is a contrast of Rudy who doesnt have anything left, while she might have everything in old world, family, friends, even lover. So to just gone everything in a blink of an eyes, and she not even can be part of that world as mana can't work with her. That just suck.

One of the moments I was worried about when adapting it into the anime. Glad they didn’t tone it down too much (Nanahoshi got to the point of smasher her head against the wall). It may look like she recovered quickly but about a week went by and in that time we got more of how Nanahoshi was feeling and her thought process of the whole thing.

Healing magic had nothing to do with understanding people's feelings lmao. The show explained it poorly but basically he doesn't 'understand' how healing magic works in its fundamentals, since it didn't exist in his world its foreign to him. He's able to use all the other magic silently because he understands the science behind it, while Sylphie is able to do it because she 'understands' how it works from feeling it done to her constantly. She operates on 'feels' while Rudy operates on the science behind things. The bonus Rudy gets though is he can create way crazier spells due to knowing how chemistry works etc. while people in this world don't. If Rudy had taken some anatomy or biology classes and learned how the healing of cells works he probably would've been able to do this too.
