another factor is we see a major change in Rudy. Normally he doesn't worry about taking on the dangerous jobs but now he has to worry about dying and leaving Sylphy behind alone. He also started buying nicer clothes to present himself better to reflect greatly on Sylphy. He is starting to think about how his choices affect his other half. It's such great growth for a man who cut out a piece of of blood stained bed sheet to pray to of the time he deflowered his wife.

All these students are friends (aside from Nanahoshi, but they’ve warmed up somewhat) at this point but we hardly ever see them interact the anime but in the novel they were all having fun together here at the reception. Julie even pulled up next to Nanahoshi and started eating some of chips with her, which visibly shocked her (her mask was also off)

If you think about it, the things in the shrine are less for a lustful reason. It’s in a sad, funny way. Roxy’s item is there cause she was the person to help him finally break free of being a shut in after years of torment. And Slyphy’s item is there cause with her he was finally able to break the depression that was causing ED and move on once again after years. Both items are meant to represent the people and moments that helped him get through the mental issues he was suffering with for years. It’s still weird, but in a cool context sad way.

Should note that when Elinalise first meets Rudeus, she starts completely throwing herself at him. It wasn't until she saw the pendant that she started using the "I don't want to be Paul's daughter-in-law" excuse, otherwise if that was the case, she wouldn't have been coming onto him so hard right off the bat. Back in the Turning Point 1 episode, Sylphy tells Lilia that the pendant was based off of one her father had. It's not mentioned in the LN that Elinalise does this, but when Rudeus first meets "Fitz" in episode 5 of thise season, you can see the expression change on her face as she's looking at "Fitz." There were quite a few hints.

FYI (skipped content, so not actually spoiler) luke is DECKED with magic gear which is DAMN expensive cuz you can only get it from labyrinths. gloves that increase his strength, his sword is a magic sword that cuts through steel like butter, his boots give him enhanced speed and he wears a vest under his shirt that blocks piercing dmg (up to a certain point) rudeus found him fast in comparison to NORMAL humans, but very slow in comparison to eris, ruijerd even his father and soldat. So basically Sylphie is doing all the leg work protecting the princess. Oh yeah, Rudy obviously used his demon eye to fold Luke.

Rudy isn’t super good at swordsmanship, but he trained and sparred with Ghislaine who is a sword king, Ruijerd who is a likely an Emperor equivalent in Spearmanship, Eris who was advanced when with Rudy but is a prodigy, and Paul who is advanced in all 3 sword styles. (likely would’ve been saint if he focused on one or two). He also fought orsted. In the light novel they describe that Luke has all this crazy gear that boosts his stats including his boots which make him faster, and Rudy felt it was unfair, but once they started the fight Rudy instantly noticed how slow Luke seemed to him, he could see all his movement and easily beat him without even using his demon eye. That goes to show that even though Rudy technique wise isn’t good enough or strong enough to be advanced/saint rank at Sword God style, he can beat some people still (Luke is intermediate) just because he’s been around monsters his whole life and is used to combat on a different level. Although Rudy is still very insecure and thinks he’s nothing special at this point since he would easily lose fights to all the people I named above (due to him being a mage, and even as a mage he doesn’t think he’s anything crazy since Sylphie can also do silent casting).

I believe it is stated somewhere in the LN that Rudy skill is close to advanced rank swordman, the only reason he never got that far is the lack of touki due to his absurd mana pool. So I would say he's pretty skilled compared to your average swordman.

What's even More bad ass about the duel with Luke vs Rudeus, in the novel, even without his Demon-eye, Luke was still hella slow in Rudys mind. He was damn near disappointed about it. Compared to Eris, Ruijerd and even Gallas The North Saint Cleaner (guy he defeated in the Beast Village in S1), Luke was pretty ordinary. This shows that even though Rudy can't use battle aura in sword fighting, he's been trained for so long by two of the best in Ghislaine and Ruijerd/Eris that he'd be able to defeat most everyday ordinary swordsman/Knight unless they were Saint level or higher, then, he'd need to use Demon-eye and magic. Basically, Rudeus is perfect for North God Style in the sword arts. Honestly, the anime is going to miss out on SO much intricate details and lore/world/character building that some things won't make sense unless Light Novel readers mention it in the comments. If you guys get the chance, I'd recommend KZbin channel "Otaku Spirit" who covers EVERYTHING the anime episodes missed in that chapter Every Sundays, but, Be Warned for Huge spoilers in the comment section. The Light Novel is damn near a work of art in storytelling.

In the light novel, Rudeus thinks about the similarities between Sylphie and Elainalise a lot more, but he always chalks it up to them both being elves. I also thought that the pendant was just an elf custom, but you never see any other elves in the series.

In the part of the video ya we're talking about why the draft girl not in different clothing in the books they actually were able to get her a school uniform to wear for the wedding at their house I can't believe they missed that detail

In the book Rudeus also noted it was a private purchase and how she isn't really a student. I think the studio thought the audience might think she'd be attending school or something. Also if she'd been wearing the uniform, the narration would've needed a line about making it a point for everyone to wear the uniform as an equalizing measure, since they have royalty, nobility, a commoner, and a slave.
