This is unfortunately common & does not have to happen, but God can restore a broken marriage *if* you allow Him to. You just have to totally trust Him.

Great testimony!. Sadly, I am hearing that lots of couples are divorcing due to selfishness and to so-called "unmet needs". The wife seemed to be seriously depressed b4 and throughout this ordeal (?). Did she seek any medical treatment? These transgressions cause long-lasting damage to the family and relationships. Glad they got through this.

It's sad how a lot of the comments here are so derogatory and condemning. David in the Bible was also someone who had an affair with one of his men's wives and even got to the point of having him killed by purposely placing him in the front line of battle. The prophet Nathan was the one who confronted him about it, which led him to asking God for forgiveness. His son, Solomon, ended up having many wives too. But God still used and forgave them for their willingness to change and repent and seek Him. All people here are sinners whether they like it or not,hence we don't get to judge. Only God does.

Marriage is a sacred covenant between God, a husband and wife, that is not to be betrayed or broken. Betrayal comes in a marriage when you allow pride, strife and selfishness to come in. When things are going wrong, that's not the time to commit adultery or have affair's, this is when you need to communicate with each other and get to the root cause of your problems. Infidelity doesn't happen because of loneliness, it happens because of lust of the flesh, that hasn't been dealt with. A wife is not to blame when her husband cheats, nor is the husband to blame when his wife cheats. The blame lies with the one who cheated and them alone. A marriage can be restored and God can heal any marriage, but you have to be willing and want him to. It takes two in a marriage to make it work. Marriage is 100/100, not 50/50. When we do marriage God's way we won't have to worry about issues like infidelity from the start. When you are faithful to God first, you will be faithful to other's!👏🙏❤️🙌❤️🙌❤️🙌❤️🙌

Ugh, sickening... I FEEL this.... I FEEL that.... I WANT filth. I flee from goodness. I run to evil... bc i am not getting MY needs (wants) met. Sounds like excuses... Yuck. Its disgusting no matter if you are simply not getting your legit needs met, or your wants, or even if you’re being blatantly mistreated. What does having sex with another man, at the end of the day, have to do with any of this? You can be sad, and lonely, without putting someone else’s penis inside you. Regardless, you just ruined yourself, your husband, and this third-party. So sad. For him. Glad they over came evil with good. But yikes. Hope she doesnt not get her “needs” met again, or she will find someone who will meet them... 🤢.

Are you without sin? Definitely she was deceived. Definitely it was wrong and incredibly hurtful to her family and witness. But God redeemed her. And, she DID find a permanent solution; One that meets her needs forever - Jesus. I'm thankful her husband was faithful to God and forgave her too. But yes, there are ramifications for her actions - which is why the counseling, etc.

When I got to the end of my limits in marriage and was pushed to jump out of it the Lord Jesus Christ gave me a life saving teaching on redeeming love by Jimmy Evans. I think many marriages fail due to lack of knowledge of how to deal with marriage. Also if Lord Jesus Christ is not praised worshipped obeyed prayed to that is if as a couple you don't have a relationship with Lord Jesus Christ marriage will not be as He has intended it. :)

The way I picture God’s “plan for marriage” is him holding open a door for the enemy to just attack. Marriage just sucks in general.

Marriage without both people completely surrendered to God is typically fraught with much turmoil and anguish. But God blesses, brings glory to and through marriages that are submitted to Him - even though they may go through various difficult trials.

Maybe he doesn't but the vow is to love not trust. Trust is needed for happiness and intimicy, so she'll be sent challenges that will let him see that she can be trusted and is completely redeemed. ....but of course she may not overcome, then what?
