Glad you had voice overs with this one, a question pops in my mind but answered clearly after with your vid!, this piece took maybe around 10 to 12hrs work, awesome man!

Haha, cheers mate. Yeah, it's definitely my favourite one so far, but it doesn't seem to be everyone else's. I'm probably a bit biased because I laboured over it for so long. Glad I answered your question.

@@baluray2 Haha, oh yeah I do! :P My bad. I had a feeling it was related to the drawing course. It's coming along, slowly. Can't wait till it's out!

@@RSKT_art Yoo! I can't wait either! I'm a total newb, and you saying "i really do believe everyone has the ability to draw" got me motivated! My brother could draw well when I was young so I just thought since my junk wasn't cool looking like his i couldn't do it. i'm 35 now and trying to see what i can accomplish lol. Just curious have you ever thought about streaming live on YT or Twitch? You might be able to pull in new viewers. I'm not sure if your goal is to make money off of your channel or not, but I stream call of duty Warzone on Twitch, and i've actually been able to make a few bucks and your content is way more interesting! Whatever you decide i'll like and comment.. try to help out on the algorithms lol

@@baluray2 Thanks man! It's definitely achievable with the right fundamentals and understanding. I even used to airbrush for a while and could teach people to paint photorealistic portraits, even when they couldn't draw a stick figure. The way I see it, if you can learn an instrument with enough dedication, then you can learn to draw too. I'm a bit worried about live streaming at this time. I don't watch a whole lot of em to really know where I'd fit in, and if I'm being honest, I'm flat chat trying to find time to make these videos right now. I've got a wife on maternity leave and two kids at home with me at the moment, so it's a bit of a noisy house. Maybe once things have settled down a bit lol

Thanks so much! I have a tutorial on the front page of my channel that shows you step-by-step how to illustrate in this style, so feel free to check it out. I also have a big 1hour tutorial on Affinity's KZbin Channel too. Just do a search for "RSKT Affinity Creative Session" to find it :) Hope it helps you out!

Sorry for the late reply. I did the initial sketch with an Intuos Pro on my desktop. Switched to colouring on the iPad halfway through :)

How do you screen record a time lapse when doing a project in affinity designer? Did you speed it up in editing or can you just record time laspe with an app or something? Thanks
@RSKT_art3 жыл бұрын
Saw you commented this on another of my videos, but in case you missed my reply: So basically if I'm on desktop I use OBS studio to record my screen. If I'm on an iPad, there's a screen recorder built right into the notifications panel. It's a bit frustrating to use though. I've had massive lengths of time go by and not realised it's stopped recording and hasn't saved my video. Also, if the screen locks, it stops recording and you have to remember to turn it back on. Sometimes I'll use the time-lapse feature in Procreate if I'm using that, and time-warp it in whatever editing software I'm using at the time (Resolve, After Effects, Premiere Pro). Apparently Affinity Designer had a time-lapse feature implemented during the last Beta. You can see people talking about it in their forums. Only downside is there were a lot of bugs resulting from it, so I guess they just decided to leave it out. I reaaaaallly hope it makes a return in the future.

@@RSKT_art No I didn't see it until now. I click on another video hoping to hear about it lol I use it in procreate but wasn't sure if there was a way to record time lapse from the recorder (iPad) or something that had to be done during editing. I thought Affinity had it and thought I just missed it. I hope they add it back soon. Thank you for the in depth reply. Keep up the awesome work

Nice video. Nice work. I always wanted to know how to draw and make amazing work like your. But I studied mechanical enginering. Can some learn to draw even if he is 24 years old. Is to late for me?
@RSKT_art3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! You are definitely NOT too old to learn to draw. This is almost perfect timing because I'm currently putting together a free course for this channel on how to draw cartoons like this (even if you've never drawn before). So, from beginners to advanced, I'll be showing you tonnes of drawing exercises and workflows so that you can make stuff like this. It's going to be spread out over around 6 sections, with each section containing approximately 10 videos. Not to sound like I'm marketing to you, but If you hit the bell and subscribe, you'll be notified when it drops. I have about 6 more of these timelapse style videos to upload while I work on completing the course, so hopefully you won't have to wait too long :)
