I have to say, Andrew, that you are one of the very best when it comes to presenting on KZbin. As an old geezer, I find it tricky using Affinity and the other videos on here have just confused me at times. You're doing a sterling job, well done!!

Hi Andrew, please explain how Affinity work with the Apple Photo Library on iPad. I find no integration within Apple Photos, not even a way to open a photo with the Share sheet or the Extensions. When you try to do it from Affinity app, it is much better. There is the photo picket that is accessible, but no way to get a RAW, only JPEG files, and when you worked on a picture, no way to save it back to the Photos library, all you can do is export it back as a duplicate of the original. I struggle to understand why they built no integration like other apps have done, such as Photomator and Darkroom.

Thanks, Andrew. Some very helpful tips on navigating new photo software. I’ve been a PS CS6 user for years on PC but was fed up with ‘Subscribe or you’re on your own’ from Adobe. I moved to Affinity V1 but never really got into it so stuck with an unsupported CS6 until Affinity V2 Suite became available for £29!!! I installed Photo V2 on my iPad but simply couldn’t even get the first lesson to work until I watched your video. Now I know the odd structure of commands it has all fallen into place. Greta stuff and I look forward to seeing£ to watching more from you about Affinity V2 😬👍

Hi Andrew I need help, I have a 2020 iPad Pro with infinity photo 2, I have a photo of a sunrise and want to add a filter ‘zoom blur, But I only want to apply it to the sky, what I do is I first duplicate the photo, then add a mask layer, then add the zoom blur , then I invert the zoom blur in channels so I can use Apple pencil to draw the zoom blur on the sky, I then select in painting brush and make sure the colours are white and black to add or remove zoom blur, But when I start applying it it works for a few seconds then resets the photo back again so my adjustment did nothing?

Could you import raw images or jpegs straight from SD card into Affinity photo 2? Do we first have to go through this process of importing to Photos app and then only affinity recognizes the photos for import? I am seeing my SD card and the photos in it when I go to import document but it’s giving me an error when I try to import a photo in that mode.

Hi Andrew, great tutorial! I really liked the two/three fingers back and redo, great to know! So Snap helps/gives you the lines to help you stay centered? I wasn’t sure what you meant by layers (as I haven’t used any photo app before), but when you brought in the Affinity logo and moved it around, I finally got it 👍🏼. The color picker is a great tool too. I like the orange better. So great to have your videos, as always so helpful. Can’t wait to view your other tutorials and all new videos! Than you!

Thanks so much Mario! The two/three fingers are amazing, so easy and quick! Yes the snap helps that layer 'snap's the centre. Layers is a big topic, I did a video for layers for AP1 iPad called 'Layers for Beginners Tutorial - Affinity Photo iPad' but might need to update it for AP2 iPad. More videos coming soon, thanks again :)

Maybe you can help I've asked on Affinity forums and they are thinking I am crazy So when you open Photo 2 on iPad, and press "C" or just click crop iT ONLY allows you to adjust the document size not the image (Like it did on Affinity 1) BUT when I open Publisher 2, click on Photo Persona, and click "C" or crop it allows me to crop the IMAGE itself WHY is this? Why can't I crop an image in Photo, I have to take 4 steps via publisher to crop images? Any idea?
