@@hypewulf8261 Thanks. Been a long time but still miss him. Our vet at the time found the breeder and he called them a "Chippewan Husky" which was about 50% artic wolf, 25% husky and 25% malamute. He was 125 pounds, almost 3' to the shoulders, and 6' nose to tail.

But I just gently let him know he's safe and he's home..! The others used him as a bait dog to train pitbulls to kill! But we are doing ok and Im glad I rescued him and I know he will never hurt me!❤

I had the honor of having raised a wolfdog. He was Mexican Gray Wolf and German Rottie. Natives had bred them for money and Rex was the runt so they hung him on a fence and I rescued him. He always had that scar under his fur. He was so intelligent and well trained that we had neighbor's in the woods who had every kind of poultry imaginable including a giant turkey named Bob. He never once harmed any of them and the lady would give him his own egg every day. He was an amazing dog. He passed from cancer and I miss him still.

I am so glad there are ppl out there that truly understand dogs/Wolves/ Coyotes. About 7--8 years I was working at a dog rescue. The owner called me up and said there is a dog here and none of us have real big dog experiences. You are the only one. I asked geesh how big is it. Well, even i was taken aback. He was a Turkish Kangal/Anatolian Shepard/American Grey wolf. He was rehomed every year until his 61/2 birthday. He is 163#s and is 14.5 years. I made him a promise to find him the very best home. Well a few months later he was already home at my house. The very best decision I have ever made!!!❤❤❤❤

I'm sorry, but what kind of vet would refuse care to a dog who is in pain? Of course animals are going to act out in fear when they are suffering. They don't know what is going on, it is our job as care takers to make their world as safe and comfortable of place to live in (even if it means facing our own fears). Thank you for giving this good boy a second chance.

I can't fault a Vet that sees a potentially dangerous dog and doesn't want his treatment of that animal to be seen as legally enabling a dangerous situation. Clearly this woman had resources many people can't provide.
@OkamiLyra Жыл бұрын
@@don2deliver I can't either, but it looks like he was muzzled when he was taken to the vet which heavily decreased that risk so to me, their response was a bit much in this very specific case.

@@don2deliver dangerous is a relative term. I have more scars and cuts on my hands working with cats than any of the big scary dogs that would come in.
@don2deliver Жыл бұрын
@@AzureLupine Cats generally won't chase down and bite small children in the numbers than dogs can. Trying to restrain or remove a cat brings on defensive actions on their part. And yes cats can draw lots of blood fast, but it's not the same. Meanwhile my dog will lick my wounds to help them heal.

NO dog is a LOST CAUSE!!! With patience and love you can make those past Issues exactly that! PAST!!! I love wold dogs, almost more than normal dogs. We had a half white german shepherd half timberwolf mix that we named Baby because we rescued her from some in-breds that were feeding the puppies pizza crust at 4 weeks old! She was easily one of the best dogs in my life! She tried about 3 times to be the alpha in the house. But much like wolves do in the wild all we had to do is flip her onto to her back with her belly exposed each time and she never tried again. She learned her place in the "pack". So happy there are people like the one in this video in the world to give the "lost causes" the time and love they need! Thank you!

You just inspired me. I was about to give up on a dog we are fostering. He is a lab, so obviously calm. But he fliches at every noise and move. Eats well, but walks slowly eith head down. Shelter said he was probably met with an accident. His hips and leg were injured. Also he behaves like someone used to beat him continuously. Its been two weeks he is at our house. He doesn't recognise anyone still, never wagged his tail. Its so sad to look at him and realising that we are unable to make him happy.. i dont know if we could ever do it. But i think after looking at this video, that he might just need more time... Maybe he ll be fine someday..

Much respect for the work you've done. We should no longer tolerant animals paying the price to bolster someone's vanity or insecurity (i.e. dog as an accessory to make a "statement"). For every cute, loved pup out there, there are their parents locked in horrific puppy mills. Yes, there are responsible breeders, but every "made to order" pup is a dog that takes the place of the many less cute, older dogs who need a home.

A wolfdog is a lifestyle not a pet. They are wonderfully smart but take an incredible amount of time but are so worth it. My breeder made me study for a year. Then he checked my yard and fence well his son did. Then I had to visit him and meet mommy and daddy. The final step was putting a deposit down on a future pup. Kali lived with me for 18 solid years. She was great but in many ways lived up to her name lol.
