At 6:57, you are telling to remove one point from Contagion but the arrow is pointing to Shadow Mastery. For those reading this, do not remove any point in Shadow Mastery, that talent is huge. On my side, I usually drop 3 points from Contagion to keep Improved Firebolt. The 3% damage loss on Corruption and SoC are not huge (and we are often AOE capped for SoC)

Thanks for the guide. The video is correct about the interaction between SL and ISB, which is very strange compared to other DoTs. Most DoTs: if cast with ISB up, damage will reduce when ISB falls off. If cast with ISB down, will increase if ISB comes on. SL: if cast with ISB up, damage will stay at initial level even if ISB falls off. If cast with ISB down, will not increase if ISB comes on.

Thanks for this, recently had to switch to aff for my guild and wasn’t sure if I let SL run the full duration or if I had to recast every time ISB procs

@@kyfifa1344 Goodness you still don't understand it. You are never recasting sl over an exisring one. You only cast sl if 1. sl is not on the boss and 2. if isb is on the boss.

Thanks for this brother. Sim is showing me with SM/Ruin that the use of Immolate is a ~25 dps increase. I have no T6. Does this change as I get closer to all BiS?

When you get t6 4set Immolate will do less damage than a raw sbolt

Taking Dark Pact in SWP is probably the play for one point in contagion just to help out the healers since the imp is phased out anyways

i want to discuss about demo ruin talent how bad is it? because i find it pump really hard, and have more surviveability and utility.. the idea about my spec is you get demo talent except felguard.. and change what demon summoned depends on what fight on raids

Hello, i played a lot afflication in TBC in my raid because i was officier, and dont wanted to force the others locks to do it. Personnaly i played with 5/5 shadow embrace but taked off the point in the range, i like the range, but preferd the dmg % in contagion :)

Nah gotta go for range! Affliction dps scales with range so if you cast a max range corruption and then turn around and run as far away from the boss as you can then you will really impress your raid. Just cast one corruption and then book it all the way back to the entrance and even zone out if possible. Get as much space as you can between you and the boss on each corruption. This is why dot timers are good. Once corruption has ended run all the way back through the instance to the boss and cast another one. Repeat. Top the meters and be the best. Ez.

I feel like you could take those 3 points in Fel Concentration and Soul Siphon and throw them in Suppression if you're going to be in an Ele group in the event your Ele dies or are otherwise separated from them. Seems like a more realistic scenario than ever really wanting to use drain life.

if you've got t4 4-set i'd cast it, otherwise just use curse, corruption and siphon life when ISB is up

Is it still worth using SL in sunwell? I've been playing with just corruption and sb spam thinking SL isn't worth the gcd now, even with isb up because all the haste gear from sunwell gear.
