Hey so I just wanted to point out that the guy who's UI was posted - the DH - that's not HIS UI that he created. He got it off of the internet and I guess he was trying to scam people into buying it. I know for a fact that it isn't their UI that they created because it's on Wago and there are similar UIs out there. All they did was copy + paste and pretend that it's their own because it's not widely used within the community. I was actually creating something similar and decided to try that UI out, it's awful but it does work. I know for a fact this person didn't create it because the creator is on Wago, I don't know their name or anything but I found it by coincidence when looking for inspiration for a customized UI for my DK on WotLK Classic.

@@LimitMaximum I'm just now seeing this (I have notifications disabled) but I can't find the UI on Wago, it was earlier this year when I found it on Wago. The thing is that I looked up his specific UI and it's literally just bloatware. That's why his game is lagging. He "created" a fake UI by likely paying someone to make it into a program and then making it bloatware. Don't get me wrong, it would still cause your game to freeze and lag BUT not that badly. What he was showcasing was a literal bloatware scam. There are so many amazing creators in the UI community that it sucks that he just ripped their UI off and tried to scam people into thinking it was his. I recognized it right away because I actually was trying to fix it for WotLK Classic DK but unfortunately I kept messing it up and after 6+ hours I gave up on it because I don't know how to code.

Youre suprised addons can transform textures and add textures? Thats beyond basic. Addons back in the day were more advanced. You could make it so it scanned everyone in range and tossed them an appropriate heal based on HP automatically in one press via a MACRO. Macros are just tiny addons by the way.

I think the craziest and coolest UI I've seen is one of the main BM hunters on lazy macros. It's a very minimalist UI while also being completely untranslatable to anyone but himself. I can't even tell what buttons he is pushing but I'm pretty sure the UI was built in response to the fact hunter can be pretty much turned into a 1 button simulator with gse. So the whole UI was built to to translate what that one button was doing at any given time.

In all fairness, there should be way more themed UI's. If you want to play really serious, ofc. something like HydraUI or ElvUI is better for visibility, but some Class-Themed UI's would be quite fun to use for immersion. But having to install/import half-a-dozen AddOn's/Auras for it sucks.

It's actually not a meme UI, it's a legit UI that he took from Wago and probably paid someone to make it into a bloated program. It's just bloatware. It's all on Wago for retail, I tried to fix it for WotLK but unfortunately I couldn't get it to work properly.

Adding voicelines to UI is actually fun to set up and legit helps. Just depends on how many you use before you can run into issues with overlap. Honestly think the concept and execution are good. Obviously way too much in reality, but for a dream UI built around a theme, not bad. I've always wanted class themed UI's and people use masque to match class colors sometimes.

Is it against TOS to sell UI? Isn't it against TOS to sell addons, does it fall under the same category? Anyway, I could see some people wanting to try out that UI, but I can't imagine anyone actually using it for something other than RP or outdoor content. It seems poorly optimized; Starting combat is a 4-second freeze, it adds like a full minute of loading screen when booting up the game, and changing spec is a solid 5-second freeze. I could see a DH on an RP server trying it out for fun, however, I hope no one actually pays to play the game like this. But honestly, I do see the value in adding class flavor to the interface - but not if you have to pay for it if it then runs like this (unless of course he just has a really bad PC, in which case I can't really judge the loading times)

I think technically it's not. You can't charge for an addon and WA and Elvui are both free, therefore, no breaking TOS. It's just the settings that are being sold. Zygor/Restedxp does the same, the addon is free, but the data for the guides are the ones you get charged for.

People should absolutely prioritise their own financial stability, it isn't as selfish as it sounds either when your own financial stability also stabilises and increases the quality of life of your family members / partners / kids / friends etc. 2. He doesn't care about progressing the game and WoW ?- That is Blizzards job, ironically the content creators job does further and progress the game by creating a community that are far more likely to stick with the game because of a community and access to a form of entertainment that they enjoy. Kept using custom made weakauras to show my cooldowns in the middle of my screen for easy viewing. Then realized I was looking down at my action bars to check my CDs anyway so I just got rid of all but the most vital WAs. Never played better.

@@calumbell2276 Tried that. At that point they just become action bars but in the middle of my screen and with a bit extra spice. Again, never played better then when I finally just learned to play with something closer to the base UI. It’s kinda like how the best PvPers usually have the minimum about of WAs and their UIs look like the base UI but they play better than people with fully custom UIs. If you actually try to adjust to it you improve way more. Though some specs WAs are almost required to play comfortably like Assassination, Feral, Balance, Affliction, and other DoT or Buff uptime focussed specs.
