I bought my first house in 2017 for $240 k. it was modern, 1100 sq ft, 2 baths, 3 bed rooms and was just nice for me and my partner. Now, that same house I like $325. Crazy

@@codyneustaedterrealestate Yeah, that is crazy! I bought my next house for over $500k but yeah, Winnipeg house prices are wild! The cost of living in Winnipeg is not as low and people like to say. I.e this is a a driving city, our public transportion is not reliable, highest property tax in the entire country, hydro bill is going to be higher than most other places in the country, food is more expensive because it travels to the middle of the country. Products/services are more epxneisve because there is less competition than larger cities. Yes, our houses aren't like Toronto or Vancouver but a lot of the other things cost more here.
