It only took a year, but I bought one. I just got the updated version delivered today. I can't wait to try it. Thank you again for the recommendation.

what are the "updated version" differences?
@ThatGuyZeb3 жыл бұрын
@@DanielTremblayVideo I was planning to do a video, but I'm only had it open for a day and the remote won't connect to the slider brain. I had an email going with them but I think the folks at Noxon ran out of the office right at 5pm their time. But the big difference seems to be build quality. Also, there's only one cable going from the brain to the stepper motors. They're all distributed from a hub connected to the slider plate. For the few hours it was working, it was great. I really hope tech support has an easy and fast solution for me.

I am using a custom made slider with 4 axes, using Arduino. The focus is controlled with a small NEMA 17 motor connected to a hand focus wheel to gear it down a lot. Next custom rig will be a small jib arm with 6 axes.

How does removing rigs typically work for motion control with stop motion? Do you just reshoot everything?

Not recommending this with this slider. If you hack it with a counter weight then maybe. But as it comes it won't hold

Hi Edu! Thanks for this video. Very informative! Seems like an amazing slider for the price! Do you find this is accurate enough to do more than one pass of a movement accurately?
@edupuertasfruns Жыл бұрын
I dont recommend it for such a hard test, it can repeat the move if it is in the same day work and the weight have not affected the placement of any part. The travellling could work. Once you start mixing axis it becomes less acurate

@@edupuertasfruns Thanks Edu! That is what I thought. Still seems like a great slider for that price. I’m looking at Edelkrone and their slider seems more precise, but of course the price is significantly higher. Much appreciated!

Sorry there, but the annoying foreground music should have been in the background and subtle, whereas the presenters voice was way too quiet and the repetative music which I did not want to listen to, was way too loud. I could not easily hear what he was saying without blasting my speakers and waking up the house. Considering this video was made by a professional, then I would have expected better sound quality and balance between the important noise such as vocal information and the background music, which is of far less importance and should take a backseat role and not be overpowering as it was here. I bet you are all going to tell me it is my speaker set up, and not the video, or it's all in my head ;-) English subtitles to match the english speech would have been useful in this situation.
