Best Retirement advice!!! Even if you’re not moving to a new country.

Your advice about retirement is spot on regardless of whether you plan to live in your home country or another country. Retirement is about reinventing yourself over and over again. I like this little apartment. It is an ideal lock and leave place. Clear out the big, bulky furniture, get rid of the paneling, update the flooring and paint, and put in new bathroom and kitchen. This could be really cute.

I totally agree. I hope to teach English as a second language. It would be under Charity conditions. I have prior experience in Australia and found it very rewarding. Cheers from South Australia temporarily.

I think there is a place for a washing machine. U can buy those wash & dry all in one machine. No need for a vent. !!. All you need is a electrical outlet. Dining room area in a built in. Would be perfect. Great small living project. Love love the walk to the apartment. Lots of flowers ❤😊

How much if the walls could be restored back to the stone? That kitchen and shower tho... I like that it's all on 1 floor.. ❤

Very appropriate tour of a " ghost town " taking in consideration that is Halloween season! 😅.. For sure this little apt is not airbnb material but it can be a place to purchase so you can fulfill one of the requirements when applying for residence in italy. On the other hand brad I am planning to retire in italy just to do what you said people shouldn't plan to do. That is have cappuccinos all day long !! Hahaha. I always tell my husband that been the person you are ( so full of life, so active, so interpraising you could go nuts in a small village if you didnt keep yourself busy doing something. As nice as it can be living in a beautiful small villague those used to living in a jungle it has to be very, very difficult to get use to this. Fortunately you can count with us your subscribers to keep your channel running and getting bigger . ( i personally keep recommending people to subscribe to your channel and even if i might miss some of your episodes i always give you my thumbs up) Keep up the good job brad!

That table was gorgeous!! A shame there's no direct access from the apartment to the garden, otherwise it would be perfect.

Great presentation Brad. I particularly liked your 'pause' (word choice?) on the tour proceedings, to talk about 'think about what you want to do when you move here - to make a contribution and not 'go stale'. I found that a refreshing consideration for us and our mental-emotional good health.😊 Cheers!❤

Your advise was very good. I'm 76 a RN and I still work part time. My husband and I love to travel but have never been to Italy. We are in love with Italy and all the different regions. We are planning to to rent for 90 days in hopes of finding a small ground floor to buy . This apt. fits that very well but just not real sure of the area. We prefer a warmer climate as we live by the gulf of Mexico in Alabama, just 1. 2 miles from the greater Pensacola Fl. Do you have properties to rent?

What about banking. ATMS?
@BradsWorld
@BradsWorld 4 ай бұрын
Think there was an ATM in town. If not it is within 10 mins max. Where I lived in Texas we needed 10 mins to get to first bank. Joy/Pain of smaller town living.

Ive noticed no one mentions banking , or medical, in these towns always bars, etc. Theses are important to me. If relocating. Thanks brad. Enjoy your videos.

Who pays cash anyway? I haven't used the few coins/banknotes I have in my wallet since the end of August. I usually pick up some cash from an ATM every 6-8 weeks. But only as a back up solution anyway. I pay everything digitally one way or another. Most European countries are becoming mostly cashless, in some of them business are legally obliged to accept at least 1 form of digital payment

Is there a train station in town?
@BradsWorld
@BradsWorld 3 ай бұрын
I always recommend to people that they should google a town they are watching videos about to see all the stuff that is important to them. This is a small town of 1300 people. There is a train station in Montefiascone about 15 mins away. There would be bus service between the two.

@@BradsWorld Thanks for the answer. I usually use google like you suggest to find out information about a city or town in Italy but I didn’t see much about whether there is a train station or not.

Something I’ve discovered recently here is it the bus service is actually pretty awesome between towns. Everyone always thinks trains trains trains. I was out hiking this week and had to take a bus back because my foot started hurting after the third day. €3.20 kilometers and I was less than an hour. It was awesome. Make sure you check in the bus services, even for long distances like flixbus. I’ve never taken it but people that have swear by it. Thanks for all your comments!! -Brad

Dang, so no Kev's world with my wife and two dogs in a pickup truck showing properties? Back to my Italian retirement plans I guess. You're doing a great job with the channel but we have missed seeing Claudia. Glad you are still practicing the metric system. Maybe put a small pop up with the sqft numbers so you can stop saying both. That way the metrically challenged still know what's going on. And by "the" I mean me ;)
