Thank you! But it’s been tough lately!

Jeremiah, I enjoyed the review. Here is a test that I'd like to see on ebikes with suspension, even if it is just the front fork. Up front, I have two Lectric XP 3.0's. I know that we get what we pay for and with Lectric it is a lot of value. However, I think that if a bike is rated for a certain amount of weight, that the suspension should perform up to that level. I weight around 250 pounds and while the power is adequate, the front fork springs are not. I did find that lowering the tire pressure to 28psi helped greatly while still being enough for good rolling resistance. As a side note, I have had a Honda GoldWing for years and soon after I bought it, I had new aftermarket fork springs installed which improved things greatly. So my point is I'd like to see how well any suspension performs at the rated load. I don't know if there is a supplier of aftermarket forks, springs, or any solution to wimpy suspension. It's certainly something good to know. To the person who asked why this DYU over a Lectric, my two 3.0's are step through. It's cold enough here that I can't keep the batteries in the bikes until it gets consistently over around 40 degrees. It is a HUGE PITA removing and reinstalling the battery and inserting the key. That one thing is enough to make me regret buying them and makes the DYU a consideration.

Hello Jeremiah, first thank you for your videos they are very informative. I was wondering if you could do a video for your audience on the 3 best electric bikes you would recommend based on value, features and quality. I think the audience would be interested on what you think is the best bikes out there that you would rank 1,2,3 after all your reviews on Ebikes.

The bike looks good and did well on climbing something I really like but seems like there's a few drawbacks. Not sure I'd want one.

I get PAS after only a 1/4 turn of my pedals. Never more than 1/4 turn. A full rotation would aggravate me to no end.

Yes, it would’ve been better to have no delay or be use or adjustable in the display but it could be a nice safety feature for unexperienced Riders and you could always use the Throttle to get that instantaneous power if needed.

@@JeremiahMcintosh The Kepler that you still have not ridden 😭is a cheap bike for the stuff you get.. It's nothing to write home about stock but it's so fun at $1,800 .. Hopefully you get one and put a nice suspension seat post on it and give it a go.. And the new Step through Wicked Cruiser bike. 👏

You won't like the lack of a chain slap protection.. The light on front.. The grips are not locking. No adjustability of pedal assist power %. Although it can be set for 9 levels and top speed will be another adjustment tied into each level. You might say the feet can clip the front fender turning.. The motor is a bit loud but it's 1,000 watt.. The controller is outward mounted but seems protected well. The front forks are ok but not high end. And it is very tall step over even in the mid step version. You will like the display overall.. The adjustable neck on the bars.. You will Luke the gearing and it will be a top hill climb bike. Overall impressions I think it will get your approval for $1,899 or whatever deal they have. 33 amp controller and rear lights you may like. Tires reflective stripe. You will eat through the battery and say it goes down fast after you get to 99%. You will like the fender coverage and rack. Double sided chain stay. Hopefully one day you can compare it to other $1,799 to $1,999 bikes . limited frame sizes and colors is a factor.

Haha great review sounds like you got it covered. The bike I would really be interested in reviewing is the Grizzly or X52 tho!

Thanks for all the great videos. In your opinion, what ebike would you buy on a $1,200 or so budget? I'm looking for a non-folding bike. Thanks!

I think it's actually a competitor to a Lectric for sure. Good weight and price with some really good torque for a 500. A second portable bike? Why not? 😎
@JeremiahMcintosh Жыл бұрын
I agree they both have their benefits and trade-offs excellent to have different options for different riders. I was actually surprised how much torque the motor put out for only using 17A from the controller.
@kevinnashskitchen3517 Жыл бұрын
@@JeremiahMcintosh lost a tad bit of speed for the torque. Fat guys like me would appreciate that 😝 Like I was saying in another video earlier someone had.. The manufacturers are trying to keep their bikes out of that fringe outlaw segment and in return you get more longevity from components and a bit more range.

Same people that make those cheap e bikes sold at Costco, I don't know if I would risk it when you got established companies selling other e bikes for similar price.

It will leak eventually, total gimmic imo. Its a fact, the softer the saddle on long rides, the more butt pain you'll have.
@kevinnashskitchen3517 Жыл бұрын
@@HackHunter1835 that's why we buy a touring saddle from Corbin to replace the stock motorcycle seats. They seem so much firmer but it's a good thing in the long run. Also a material that allows more air flow helps in long rides.

Your legs seem to really go at 15 mph in 7th gear. I can see why you always mention you wish it had an 11 to 32 or 34 tooth 😁.. I was on my bike yesterday and 11-34 tooth with a front 52 is ok at 25 mph
@JeremiahMcintosh Жыл бұрын
Yes I Don’t know why these companies don’t use an 11-34t freewheel it’s so much nicer to ride!
@rickflair4428 Жыл бұрын
I guess I don’t understand why you would ever buy this over a Lectric?
@JeremiahMcintosh Жыл бұрын
There are a few benefits like a bigger battery comes standard for a cheaper price, lower step over height, better adjustable kick stand,blue color, 4” fat tires for those that would prefer them, included suspension post with nicer seat, easier access to take the battery out, and last but not least it has more power and quieter brakes. However there are some trade offs as well like lower top speed, less adjustment in the display, higher min seat height,no taillight and a delay for the pas to kick in. So, as you can see, they both have their benefits that will fit users differently, depending on their needs. Great to have different options in my opinion.

You seem to have a ton of infomercials recommending anything with an affiliate link and I can't see one ebike worth paying for. Not a single bike is close to the performance of the ebike I've ridden for the past 7 years.
