Finally someone doing justice to this type of product! Thank you so much for the effort you put in doing this video. My ideas and questions are all answered.

I finally have some monorail acquired and I'm happy to see all these parts are available. Great video!

I ❤ Monorail 🤗 Finally there is a solution for all the people who would like to build bigger classic Monorail tracks. But I still love to build "Brick-build" Monorails 🤗 Greetings from Switzerland Buttermaker

I remember trying to make brick built monorail tracks as a kid but never had enough pieces 😅. Very glad for 4D Brix offering a solution

I have a lot of their straight track as well as a bridge slope extender. I have been very happy with their product. Oh, and that 4 stud track has been a life saver for me.

Monorails look like so much fun 😭 I really need to invest in getting a monorail set up in my layout
@BatteryPoweredBricks7 ай бұрын
It's an expensive investment for sure. I'm really glad I got as much official monorail as I did about 6 years ago when it was a bit cheaper. 4D Brix will be extremely helpful in making larger / more interesting layouts in the future. It would be great if a third party would release a motor

Looks so cool! There's something so satisfying about the monorails that normal trains don't have. It's a shame some of those bogeys are broken though
@BatteryPoweredBricks7 ай бұрын
They aren't really "broken" I think the sizing is just off a bit. I'm trying to get in touch with them to ask about getting a replacement bracket. I'll probably order more track anyway 😅. I love the front of this layout with the switch yard and the way the tracks are layed out. I've waited so long to get my hands on these track pieces!

I’ve used 4D Brix for years. I love them. The quality has never been an issue with the tracks or extention cars. The angle extentions are my favorite and I’ve built a few elevated yards. Last year they printed me some dummy motors for displays and I wish they ran.

I have some of the 4DBrix monorail stuff from several years ago and it's still great and works really well.

Super nice video! I love Lego trains and these look pretty good for not being totally authentic. Subscribed and Liked! 😄

The track shown in the unboxing is from 4D Brix but everything else is official Lego. I was very happy with the quality of the third party track, really excited for being able to create more interesting layouts!

Very glad I saw this. I just got a monorail set this week and want to use it in my city.

I'll definitely be ordering more track in the future. The prices of original track will only go up over time, so glad to have a good alternate solution!

Just use a hair dryer to warm up the clips that attach to the monorail base and pinch them so that they are a tighter fit. 3D printing is a good prototyping tool but it’s not perfect.
@BatteryPoweredBricks7 ай бұрын
I'm still waiting on a response from the seller before I do anything. I imagine many people would be disappointed if they ordered those parts and they were that loose

Is there a chance the track could bend?
@BatteryPoweredBricks2 ай бұрын
There is a slight amount of bend to them. Enough to make a spiral with the curves like I am doing in my Aquazone diorama
@redsocks1529Ай бұрын
@@BatteryPoweredBricks OK, now this is interesting to me, I might actually want to make a spiral one day. Noted.
@redsocks1529Ай бұрын
It's good that these are available for those that want them, but it kinda takes the shine off, for me the fact that these things are "rare" (obviously the are not actually rare) and expensive is part of what makes them special. It is frustrating that the number of types of Monorail tracks created by Lego are so severely limited, I might use some of these in a pinch, but only when I need that specific part for a reason.

Great video, i love all your video’s especialy the videos where you make a expensive train with cheaper parts butsomething else i just bought the Lego train 4559 and i love the 9 volt system Sally its really expensive and i have a idea for your next video: a cheaper version of the santa fe train.
@BatteryPoweredBricks7 ай бұрын
Thanks! Yeah 9v is very expensive. Most of my track was imported from Germany. I think the Santa Fe has come up before in comments. At this time I don't really have much of an interest in making that train but there's always a possibility I will in the future. There are a few folks that have Santa Fe trains and MOCs in our discord
@onecleverpig7 ай бұрын
Wow that looks really awesome. I love the way 3d printing is breathing new life into these old lego mechanisms. I guess monorails are still pretty expensive though 😂 ohh well, at least i live in canada so i cant even buy it
@BatteryPoweredBricks7 ай бұрын
Yeah I'm super glad I picked up as much as I did about 6 years ago. The motors are crazy expensive. I have two that work pretty well and maybe two others that aren't quite as good. We were joking in our Discord the other day about running Lego train track across borders to send Lego back and forth Trailer Park Boys style. If we get up to Canada I'll be sure to let you know and I can send you some 4D Brix stuff 😅

Great info, me personally, i have had to much bad luck with 3D printed parts holding up. Lets us know how it does over the long haul.
@BatteryPoweredBricks7 ай бұрын
It won't mean much coming from me. Not like I'll be using these at a convention all day or anything. I just need things to work well enough to make videos so they really won't see much long term use. That said the tracks feel like they are very high quality. All of my TrixBrix 3d prints have held up well too
@FinleysWorld7 ай бұрын
Was that the creator train you were using for the monorails or custom?
@BatteryPoweredBricks7 ай бұрын
Yeah it's the High-Speed Train set (40518). It's was a fairly easy transition to the monorail bases
@TomasSadilek7 ай бұрын
The original monorail is extremely these days. Thank you for your video - lots of nice ideas there. I am happy to own 6990 / 6991, the Space sets. Never got my hands onto 6399, and I likely never will. Do not have to have all official sets, right? I noticed that you are also not a completionist - but you do own some duplicates, such as the yellow 9V Cargo/Passenger Train.
@BatteryPoweredBricks7 ай бұрын
Actually I don't own any of the monorail sets, they are far too expensive for me. I am definitely not a collector or a completionist. All the monorail stuff I have I got in random lots on eBay about 6 years ago. In the case of the 4559 Cargo Railway I bought an incomplete set and then found someone selling just the 2 wagons on eBay to extend mine. That was in a haul video at some point. The 2 extra wagons were shipped all the way to my city, returned to sender and then they had to ship it again. But eventually I got my full train 😅. That's really why I'm able to get so much Lego, I never buy complete sets, don't care about boxes / minifigures etc.

So glad that someone is printing these in the US finally! Now just to find some room in my budget… (BTW, if you find a Lego 32L straight track for $20-25 in good shape, that’s a deal! I’ve been watching for about 5 years and haven’t found one for less than US$28 on Bricklink or eBay.)
@BatteryPoweredBricks7 ай бұрын
Sheesh, I guess I haven't looked in a while after they got over a certain price 😅. 4D Brix is looking even better 😁

Lovely, fun to watch but I must admit I'm not to impressed by the printed parts.
@BatteryPoweredBricks7 ай бұрын
The tracks feel very high quality to me, some of the other prints like the bases and motor covers don't seem to be up to that standard but I still feel like they will work well for me.

Well I've worked the same job for over a decade, made myself indispensable and saved the company a ton of money over the years. Also I'm single with no kids so that's a huge part as well. Sometimes videos are shot a month or two before they release so it can seem like I order more than I really do
