Hello, thanks for the video. I was wondering how you like the stands after adding your monitors? I am looking to do almost exactly the same thing - buying Stylum 3 stands, filled, with my ISOAcoustics iso-200. Are you finding it better than just having the Aperta 100s on desk? Are the stands stable enough? (I'm using Focal monitors, about 10kg each).

Hello Jay, I like the stands very much, I've been using them for a while now with a couple of 15 kg HEDD speakers on them. I,ve placed them behind my desk, and the sound has certainly improved. I must admit that this has also to do with a better listening position (perfect triangle, perfect height ), but there are also less reflections from the desk (because of the higher position) and no more vibrations at higher levels. They certainly are stable enough for your Focals!

It seem this stand can use iso 155. If I need to set iso 200, will I really need to buy aperta 200 plate to stick on the stylum 1?

The top plate of the Stylum 1 is 16,5 x 20 cm, so it is a bit too small for the Aperta 200 (20 x 20.5cm). You can of course place a plate in between, as long as you fasten it it securely to the stands top plates.

and the speaker wire?

The speaker cable no longer goes through the tubes, but hangs alongside of them. Usually not an aesthetic problem because the stands - at least in studios - are often placed behind a desk. You could choose to use tie-wraps to fasten the wire along the back side of the small tubes, when you are using them in the living room.

@@Kraakmusic1 why not use a black garbage liner, put this in the tube and the sand/filling in it. So there is also room for the cable and you dont have to tape the hole.

@@Thrym That is also an option if you are (only) using sand. But if you (also) want to use inert filler, you have to be careful and not move them around a lot. The inert filler has sharp edges that may damage the garbage bag and then you have to clean your studio.

@@Kraakmusic1 ok...true. im no believer in that inert stuff, sand has much more density and does the trick perect in deadening. Just waste of money in my opinion.

@@Thrym The Inert filler I used (from Monitor Audio) is made of metal and is heavier than sand. I filed up the big tube with this and the smaller with bird sand, because I place heavy speakers on them. it gives it just a bit more stability (if you use lighter speakers, only sand will be just fine).
