Great set up! I’m just starting out myself, what laptop are you running? I’m looking for a laptop to stream but don’t know what specs to look for and don’t want to brake the bank

I can’t remember all of the specs of this laptop unfortunately besides it being an i7, but when I got a pc the specs were lower. I have a ryzen 5 cpu, I used to have 1650 gpu, 500w PSU and only 8gb Ram. Those specs held my stream for a while. Everything’s upgraded now besides the cpu. The first thing I upgraded right away was the ram.

With a capture card. I used the Elgato hd 60 but there are other cheaper options for capture cards as well.

@@saucymiamigaming if you downloaded the Elgato software you should be able to mouse over it and move it to the second monitor if the monitors are connected. I don’t have a video myself showing how to plug everything into the card and get things the way I wanted but I had searched for a video to help me set that up.

I think in this video I was using Streamlabs. I use Streamelements OBS now. You’ll be able to add all sources into a scene whether it be audio sources, video sources, etc. I think I talk about it in the last section of this video when I show an emote wall. Hopefully that answers your question! 😊

So how do you display what’s on your monitor that the switch is connected to onto your obs? Like how do you connect it to the laptop after you hook up the capture card? I’m a little confused >

This video was just a tour basically. I can always do an informational video on how to actually set it all up, I just didn’t know if anyone would be interested. BUT, with this capture card, you have to install an Elgato software so when it comes to OBS, you’ll have sources you can add and you’ll need to add a video capture device and you’ll select the Elgato capture card! 😊
