I am so very glad to have found you today Frannie!! This is my second video of you and your adorable sister Sharon trying on an assortment of wigs. I must say that you have my complete and utter attention. I have always (for years to be exact) been dying to try a wig or two or more, lol. But, I have never known where to even begin. Of course, whenever I have ever mentioned a wig to my friends, they have told me everything from....I am crazy.... But, you have beautiful hair.... Only little old ladies wear wigs...and on and on. You have my rapt attention from beginning to end with regards to absorbing as much info as I can on wigs....in addition to watching two of the most delightful sisters enjoying every minute of time that they are spending together. Honestly, I think I could watch the two of you in a video demonstrating how to do most anything! But, I shall stay focused and watch every single video that you and Sharon have made on anything and everything wigs. Frannie, you are doing such a magnificent job giving soooo much info and still making it such a joy to view. Thanks ever so much for sharing all of your knowledge. You both look awesome… I had to wear a wig when I had chemo( I was 42 & my hair fell out), I was DEVASTATED… I bought a med length( much like the one you’re trying on) that was my same color… I was back at my job( eventually) & my natural hair grew back in… the newer hires were very surprised when I came in with my natural( it came back in a bit darker & very curly) hair( short)… they didn’t realize all that time before that I was wearing a wig!! They thought it was my “real” hair… that made me feel so much better! I wore it swimming & even riding in a convertible & out on dates… wigs can be so realistic now & everyone should try them!! They saved my confidence( while I was going thru so much)!!

How much fun was that!? I discovered you yesterday and now I’m down the rabbit hole! 🤪 The last one you had on, JS, looked great on you. I never understood why they make wigs with so much hair when the person buying them didn’t have much to begin with. I usually thin mine out going each row at a time. Sometimes using a razor or thinning shears so it’s not as noticeable if i make a mistake. Also, when you have lace front, i tweeze out some hairs in the front and in the part to make it look more natural. Again be careful not to take to much off. Hope this helps you with some wigs you don’t wear because you think they are too full or don’t like part and hairline. 🥳

I sincerely hope that since the taping of this wonderfully informative video (I only just found you today and am loving this, my second one) that you have finally taken the big leap and decided to at the very least cut/ trim your long hair to shoulder length. At least this would still allow you all of the opportunities of playing with shorter lengths and different styles and/or colors. What fun!! Sharon, in all honesty, you are so gosh darn adorable as well as being a natural beauty that no matter which wig you tried on, they all looked great! In my honest opinion, the jawline length was the most flattering to the shape of your face. And having seen your long hair at the very beginning, truthfully, it does nothing for you. It makes your face appear quite narrow and much longer than it is. You look years younger with shorter hair.

I don’t know if you are still wearing wigs but the videos I watched this evening taught me so much about what to look for. What are the bands you are wrapping on your head before you put on the wigs. Where do I get one?
@sharonabrams121 Жыл бұрын
It’s called a wig grip. It helps to keep the wig in place more comfortably than using clips or pins. Wig grips make it easy to remove your wig without pulling your hair out. My sister taught me to always place the wig grip behind the hairline to allow the edges of your hair to breathe and avoid pulling any natural hair. I found it to be very comfortable! You can purchase them online. I’m sure my sister can let you know the best ones to get. 👍🏼. Again, thank you so much for watching our video. 😘
@FranniesHair Жыл бұрын
They come with and with out lace. I use the lace wig grips mainly when I'm wearing a wig with a monofilament part. That way you don't see the wig grip in the part of the wig. Here are links for both. Without lace: amzn.to/3IxjhoZ With Lace: amzn.to/3YK51yR

Unfortunately, I don't think you can take permatease out. I think it would ruin the wig. I can't wait to hear how you like your wig. Remember, it may be a shock when you first put it on...just wear it for a bit and style it like you would your own hair.💕

I havent bought my first wig or topper yet so learning heaps from you. @1:17 doing a low single braid then laying it as flat as possible around the head spritz it with a very light mist then put a cap over the entire head then add a second cap it doesn't really feel different once the wig is on but it ensures an even fit

How do the color numbers compare to descriptions of the colors? It is hard to tell from the online swatch samples. It would help if they put the color on the model. Thanks for your help.
@FranniesHair Жыл бұрын
What I've learned so far is that the lower the number, the deeper the color. But colors vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some companies have color swatches for free or to buy. Paula Young will send them to you for free (at least they did a few months ago). I also check out reviews of wigs and colors on KZbin when I am considering purchasing a particular wig.

@FranniesHair Жыл бұрын
Most heat friendly synthetic wigs come with instructions not to go above 270 degrees. There are newer curling irons that you can set by temperature. Something like this: amzn.to/3E9YsgR. It says this one goes from 225 degrees to 450 degrees.

I was sort a dirty brown blonde. I have blue eyes what color would you suggest. I also want one I can use the hest on. I'm so up and down on this. Any suggestions would help.
@FranniesHair Жыл бұрын
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Are you trying to get a gray with highlights or go back to dirty blonde brown? Color is probably the most difficult part...even when the descriptions sound good, I can often be surprised at what it looks like in person. I find video reviews really helpful in choosing color. Also, once you find a brand and color you like, the color should be fairly consistent throughout the brand. There can be some differences depending on the fiber (i.e. heat defiant vs regular synthetic). I personally like rooted colors...I think they look more natural...like your roots are growing out a bit. Blue eyes can look good with almost any color. I would say your skin tone plays a big role as well. Is there a place near you where you can go try on some wigs?
