Is Luminar coming for Lightroom like DaVinci came for Premier? 👀

The most used lens, buy Sony. Less used lens buy third party. That is my rule of thumb.

The sigma lenses can do linear focussing on L mount and you can also set the degrees of focus throw. It is artificially limited by Sony on E mount. Much like their limits on burst speeds and teleconverter compatibility.

One thing that bothers me about Sigma is why Tamron seems to be able to often do a better job with both weathersealing and autofocus than they do, when they're typically thought of as the "mid grade" lens a step above Tamron. The Sigma 16-28 has some really terrible distortion and vignetting, but some of their Art series lenses really knock it out of the park. I want to try the 85/1.4.

Are you liking that A7RV more than your old Canon cameras? Do you use it for video or the S5iiX
@connormccaskill8 ай бұрын
I’ve been loving it over Canon generally yeah. I use both my Lumix and my Sony for video! Depends on my mood ha

Whats up with the Audio? Is this the Internal Camera Mic? Or weird Rverb?

The sigma 24-70 art is outstanding lens that's my go to lens. My Sony lenses stay in the bag 90% of the time.

Oh now that’s an interesting take! What Sony lenses are you leaving behind? Are they primes?

I am used to third pary lenses but getting ready to upgrade to sony. one thing I read is sony limits the FPS to 15 for third party lenses. anyone know if sony A9 III has this limitation?

Besides their great design and sturdy build and sharp optics and reasonable price, one reason I buy SIGMA lenses is that they are first-party lenses. . . for my SIGMA fp camera. There are no regrets in my case about using third-party glass.

Ya I am a Sony snob now lol….i started as a third party junkie but as I acquire more GM’s I want to fully convert. Plus I want to future proof myself. However I find beginners or people that shoot APS-C only….third party all the way. Also depends on the lens too I guess. Either way great video dude!

Very nice photos. Good composition and use of natural light. I would say though, IMHO, the extreme sharpness of the lenses is doing a disservice to the models. If I owned those lenses and was going to shoot portraits / lifestyle, I would definitely be diffusing them.

I tend to agree. Easy fix for getting clients the "perfect" photos but 0% authenticity abounds. Get use to it man. AI generated content is the new gold rush. AI generated YT videos about science are everywhere and ChatGPT SORA AI video is around the corner which will make 60% of stock footage almost worthless.

I think all these "AI" tools have their place in photography/video where they can take the quality of your gear out of the equation. Like AI upscale, noise reduction, artificial Bokeh etc. But generative AI makes me question whether it is still photography or digital art (even that is debatable)
