Great work! I’ve been watching a great deal- glancing at my plans, rewinding, plans, watching, plans, plans, plans, watching watching, more plans... blah blah blah. Thanks for the insights!

Dont know if anyone gives a shit but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all of the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Been binge watching with my gf for the last couple of days :)

HomebuiltHELP channel builds ribs and attaches to spars completely different than you did? was there a design change somewhere or who deviated from the plans? i cant figure out yet which build/design is better or stronger, looks like yours is stronger and more difficult to build, maybe your plan is better? i think using a legal eagle fuselage with afforadplane wings would be a great combination, I dont like the side sway of the 2D fuselage, or where landing gear attaches to fuselage with brackets bending inward from normal landings. i do like the wing design. but you have ribs on the tpo and bottom where other only have ribs on top, plus you have a stringer across the top of the ribs? yours must be certainly stronger rib build but heavy?

I know you're way past this point in assembly - but have you thought about covering the wing in aluminum ? Seems like it would be the way to go, unless weight would be an issue.

Is there any way to build a folding wing with this plane?

Hey Terry, you mentioned a "prevous video" about rib bending technique's. Could you help me find it? Does anyone know?

Hello Terry. This is David Hilton, and I live up in East Tennessee. I’m starting an affordaplane build. I have a question about the ribs. I’m wondering if I can use the top rib on the plans with a straight rib on the bottom for a double serfs wing? I really think you did a great job on yours. Thanks. I’m interested in what you think about this.

That is how I did my wing and I know it is not part of the plans, but I like it better with the added straight rib on bottom too. I believe it will be fine like that.
@felonebike98593 жыл бұрын
Probably a dumb question, but why does foam board go between the ribs?
@affordaplanestore3 жыл бұрын
To support the inboard ribs from bending during the covering process.

did you use the full size template in the plans for your wing ribs
@mikegilpin96604 жыл бұрын
Did you do a fuselage build video??
@affordaplanestore4 жыл бұрын
No, sadly I did not start doing youtube vids till after.

Hey Terry, What is the purpose of the first jig. Does the second jig you used not do a complete job?
@affordaplanestore3 жыл бұрын
The second jig yields a rib with a straight top while the my first jig applied a curved top, purely a personal decision. The wing will work with just the second jig.

Terry, I from Brazil. Could you do a wing for the AFFORDAPLANE? How much could It coust?
@affordaplanestore6 жыл бұрын
Parts =2000, Parts shipped to me =500, My time to build paint ready =2000, plus shipping to Brazil =? Probably near 5000 grand total.
