Nothing is positive about it. If you do not import anything then your currency value increase. Other countries can also do but that affects local economy. For example, Pakistan and India can block imports but that will come with the cost of millions of people getting unemployeed as these imports have also created lots of local industeries and majority of exports require some imports from another country. Without imports, you are also gonna also exports. Lastly, other countries will ban our country if we do not allow their exports. Pakistan and India needs to exports there more than we need to block imports.

The spending SIGAR talks about was not to better the Afghan lives such as building dams, drainage sewer system hospital etc, it was built on things that was useful for the army, such as maybe the roads embassies airfields etc Why don't you talk about Taliban who ruled for 5 years from 95 to 2001 and what they built in their 5 years to compare. At least Ashraf Ghani left you a country that was not destroyed to rubble like the Talibans left in the 90s. This what I don't understand with Afghans, they comment based on emotions and loyalty to the government and not on facts on the ground.
