While it's definitely sad, it's a problem that Afghanistan, and specifically the Taliban, has created. They don't let women do anything. They're anti education. They won't even let female aide workers feed their people. They refuse to even allow people to play musical instruments or even dance. Women are shunned from many parts of society and aren't even allowed in children's parks! They want ignorant, neanderthal men to run their country. Ok, well, they've got what they've got. I do feel the US and UK should make an effort to allow more of them in to their countries, however, because they helped big time during the 20 years they were in Afghanistan. The refugees were doubled by Mr Imran Khan who distributed free Pakistani passports to TTP and rolled out free healthcare for them That was after stopping CPEC and dev projects and taking 80% historical loans from IMF when we were out of it. Any reversal of such policy is in pakistans interest

Being a Pakistani I must say this is a very complicated situation. On one hand state has the right to take the action because millions of undocumented Afghans are living in Pakistan and that is of course a serious security threat. But, on the other hand this sudden action is not something to appreciate. Many of these people even born here and the have never seen Afghanistan. It will be very hard for these people to go back to Afghanistan. Pakistan is like a dreamland for these afghan people. The Pakistani government was sleeping for so many decades. Isn't this just returning refugee to their home place? Afghanistan is in the process of recovery after being taken over by the new government. Even though there a little turmoil here and there, it's no longer a war zone. From POV of countries, these is a pretty okay move? Some would say it's a little heartless, but that's the problem with Nationalism in the first place. Nations divides people. But since almost everyone subscribes to that idea, the returning of people to their home is not an extreme move at all. From Islam POV, I'm not sure how to say this. I think the issue is that rather than adjusting to facilitate the legal assimilation of people, afghans are being cast out suddenly and to no major fault of their own. The US has expensive, time consuming, and confusing immigration procedures that make legal migration from Latin America difficult, and then uses migrants undocumented status against them to make them out as criminals/public threats and justify deportation. They do this instead of changing laws and funding programs to make it easier for ppl to safely enter and integrate into society. Law is simply a tool and we should be aware of when it’s weaponized against anyone, even non-citizens

Firstly quantum is too high (in millions), secondly some of them, if not all, are abetters of terrorist activities in pakistan. Thirdly, they hate Pakistan as their basic core values and try to damage it every way possible. Lastly, economy of Pakistan is ailing unlike US therefore supporting such a humongous number of immigrants is not possible. Plus they are no more refugees as US/NATO has left Afgh anyways.

Afghans have lived in our lands for over 40 years. We have never tried to make them feel less of a Pakistani just because they are Afghanis. But because of them, Pakkstan have endured alot of consequences and reputational damage as well. This was the decision Pakistan had to take at some point. And yes, it is a fact that where ever they have come, they have just perpetuated terrorism, burglary and such heinous crimes. And still, after 400,000 afghans migrated to their homeland, a whopping 1.3 million still prevail in the country, either in a hiding, or by supporting and being in the care of TTP. This is not shameful, This video is mostly showing one side of the story. Pakistan hosted afghan refugees for 40 years there are more than 4.4 million afghans in Pakistan. We are facing security issus from TTP, they want to overthrow the government.Our economy is suffering. There are cases for afghan refugee crimes,illegal drugs etc. Now that the war has ended its about time we send them. Having 1.7 million illegal refugees is a huge security risk.

I see often the term collective punishment used in the Gaza situation, this is certainly right there.
