You want to start a tribal uprising? Because that's how you start a tribal uprising, it's the most profitable crop a farmer can plant in Afghanistan and many family's are reliant on it for their income, if the US millitary went around Afghanistan burning the livelihoods of tribesmen, it wouldn't end well.

I do agree that there will always be some kind of criminal activity revolving around the drug war but it can definitely be reduced. The reason the state doesn't just legalize it is cause they are also earning hella money from it.

Just a bit of info in relation to Haji Bashir Noorzai the convicted former Afghan drug lord in this. He was an early supporter of the Taliban movement, and later worked as an undercover agent on behalf of the U.S. government. Despite being among America's most wanted drug traffickers, he agreed to come to New York City for a debriefing after being promised by his handlers that he would not be arrested. He was arrested ten days after his arrival. Dirty politics or what.

After high school I enrolled in the local community college. I took a class in AutoCAD and had an Army vet as a classmate. One day I struck up a conversation with him and he eventually started showing me pictures of his time in the Middle East. He had many pictures of him standing next to fields of an unknown crop. I curiously asked him what those pictures were about. This was his response. "We would stand guard around poppy fields to protect the crop". Years later after becoming addicted to Heroin I had a realization one day. Big Pharma needs this crop to produce the opiates for their Vicodin, Percocets and Phentanyl that eventually make their way into some young suburburban white kids arm. Haha But the average citizen has his door kicked in and sent to jail if he/she possessed the SAME EXACT product as Big Pharma. Why? BECAUSE IF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT CANT TAX THE DRUG MAN THEN " Its bad for the people", BUT IF THEY CAN MAKE MONEY FROM IT THEN ITS JUST BUSINESS AS USUAL DESPITE THE ADDIXTS DROPPING LIES FLIES IN OHIO, PHILLY, JERSEY, AND EVERYWHERE ELSE IN US CITIES. @getmeoutofsanfrancisco9917 Жыл бұрын
This is completely incorrect. I understand the sentiment of not trusting the US government and Big Pharma but if something is incorrect, I got to stay objective and straighten this out. In case you were interested, I also had a decades long heroin habit (a habit of mine which was functional until it wasn't) and have tried many different regions of heroin, certainly in all of the US states. But I digress. I am not going to focus on personal anecdotes here. But for the record, I am 7 years clean today. Now with that out of the way.. Around 99% of the heroin coming into the USA does not come from Afghanistan. The vast majority of heroin is sourced via Mexico (mostly Black), Colombia (powder), and to a *much lesser* extent, South East Asia (powder, main consumer market being Canada). No real pipelines of Afghan Heroin have existed in the US. Not during the Global War on Terror at least. The destination of Afghan Heroin has always been the European consumer market. In other words, the Afghan Heroin is consumed by Europeans. Not Americans. And the much of, if not all Afghan is #3 heroin, not #4 (or Tar in the case of the US West Coast). That right there should tell you, as basically all US heroin is either #4 (a water-soluble HCL salt), or Tar (a mix of 3 and 6-Monoacetylmorphine). Not #3, which is base heroin. As for Big Pharma (which did indeed kickstart the US opioid crisis but not with heroin), there was a multilateral initiative to stem the illicit Afghan heroin flow into Europe by instead having Big Pharma purchase the opium (for processing into Pharmaceuticals such as the codones and the morphones), but it was eventually shot down by a committee and never saw fruition. As for the oxycodone and whatnot, the vast majority of the opioid feedstock (Eg. Thebaine for Oxycodone) comes from places like Tanzania. So to say it again, there never was any Afghan Heroin in the US (not any significant quantities anyways). It was and still is mostly Mexican (West Coast Tar) and Colombian (East Coast Powder) we were using. The reason the US military guarded the poppy crops was due to a change in policy amidst the "Hearts and Minds" initiative (trying to gain the Afghan locals trust). Prior to this, the US and the Afghan government were tearing and burning down opium poppy crops whenever they found them. As it turned out, destroying the livelihoods of those you are claiming to be "protecting" wasn't working out. Go figure. /s Anyone who served in say, the South of Afghanistan (say, Helmand Province) would be able to back up every single thing I just said. Again, I understand not trusting the US government and all that (I sure don't) but we got to keep it real. There is no grand conspiracy here, just an urban legend with no real basis. Got to keep it real people.

I have an understanding that controlling the production of opium is beneficial to all the countries of this world for medications that are made with the opium, of course, it's a business. Every country looks at controlling or dictating how the opium should be handled. Keeping the poor at bay and closed in is a strategy providing little or no resources for massive financial gain and if a country does not agree with their demands then they are called enemies threatening the stability of the world.

One of the best and most sencere reports about Afghanistan I saw the last years. Respect to the bravery of the reporter. Obviously, the NATO forces were in Afghanistan for men-hunting ony; thus having their fun and their sports while fulfilling their duties. Under their roof the drug-barons would establish a dictature of drug- lords with local people as their addicts. Through the huge profits a military terror-machinery would control the entire land till mission Afghanistan is completed and the troops leave jusr before the exhausted people would destroy each other out of desperation, hunger and basic needs unfulfilled.

He sold to people but not in the US. There were people who brought it to the US. The US Government purchased raw opium for their drugs to create Morphine, Vicodin, and similar products. The US didn't came to America to fight the war on drugs. Destroying the fields make the opium farmers starve. Since almost everyone in Afghanistan is armed and these farmers have at least a ak47 at home destroying the fields would mean the us soldiers wouldn't be able to go outside the cities without being attacked by these farmers. You have to keep in mind that they aren't the taliban. Of course some people profited from the drug trade but if you keep in mind why the us was there not making farmers starve and getting involved in a war against a massive part of the rural population wasn't that stupid.

Dont eat animal products like it says in some texts and you will get no adrenaline rush or anxiety when its time to defend your homeland. Chickens go through anxiety before slaughter and then you eat what they feel. I heard there was also another "call" that noticias the other chicken its time or your going to get slaughtered.

Seriously tho.. just gimme like a handful size glob of that opium and I’ll either ration it or cook it down to try and acetylize it into pure diacetylmorphine that will last me WAYY longer than the cut to high hell black tar heroin I have to get to keep myself out of withdrawal does.. it’d also save my veins from damage, and of course would make it to where I could get back to trying to make a better life for myself instead of spending so much of my time trying to figure out how I’m going to get money for my next sack so that I’m not in terrible pain sweating like crazy twitching in bed puking my guts up, I gotta say I’m gettin real scared, this has got to be the lowest point I’ve ever been at in my whole life, and I turn 25 tomorrow.. happy birthday to me 😔

Kandahar bordering with iran, which has been in turbulent relation with US.pouring a huge quantity in Iran will compel to prevent it.it have dual disaster for iran like it add to health and security burden.the most important is the nourishment of militant groups which would play pivotal role in the destabilization.this business might be the source of income for those who want to ensure US interests in the region.Though iran have a good option to utilize this raw stuff for pharma industries and explore the positive aspect of this toxic and human killer material.

Although Taliban isn't the best people, compared to ISIS their decent guys that just want what they think is best for their Country. They don't want to force Islam on Western people like ISIS does. ISIS wants to control the world, and the Taliban just want what's best for their Country. They shouldnt of used kid Suicide bombers and they might of had more support from the West. But now they control Afghanistan again. I just hope they go easy on the people of Afghanista. Their such beautiful awesome people. I'm really worried for the Hazard people cuz the Taliban is really mean to them

It isn't a coincidence that since the US has been in Afghanistan the opium/heroin production has hit higher and higher records every year. Also the CIA employed and put on their payroll Karzai's brother, he is known as one of the biggest heroin producers and traffickers in the world

I in my opinion believed he was dead since 2005, because there were no more footage prior to the ones in the Afghan mountains . Then there was a footage in 2007, a man that looked like Osama, but not quite him, it's still on KZbin if you look for it. So from that video I concluded once and for all of his passing. Then in 2011 it was proclaimed that a marine had shot and killed Osama, which I found strange because there were no official pictures of his body.

@@matnettleton526 NO, you would not be safe. Buying in Afghanistan for just anyone is fraught with danger from a number of sources. Go to Thailand, find a white man who lives there and knows the go, still take great care. If you manage to actually buy some good gear, let NO ONE know who you really are, or where you are staying. Loose lips sink you VERY often! If you are just buying a small amount...As soon as you get in a taxi at the airport you will be offered everything, even the guys daughter, lol. They cant be trusted, but if you must, only buy if he has it on him and never let him drop you where you are staying. Get out at a different guesthouse or hotel then walk for a while then take a different taxi to where you are staying! Walk the last part of the trip too.Never buy more than you can stick up your ass unless you are trafficking. NEVER leave it laying about. Preferably bury it where its handy, but cant be linked to you. If you are going to take it out of the country, dont be greedy, always carry internally. These days unless you are part of a large network with lots of resources it is just too dangerous to carry it in a bag, no matter how well you think its concealed, the customs guys have seen it all before. This is not to say you cant walk through customs with kilos in a suitcase, but its a VERY iffy proposition:/ Not worth your freedom. Even internally, unless you can stay very cool, chances are too high you will get busted. You are under surveillance from the moment you get on the plane home, the plane staff are trained to look for suss behaviour, like not eating for just one thing! Once you enter the airport, cameras with highly trained personell are watching for any sign of nervousness. Internal will protect you from dogs, but if you are pulled and they are very suss from your behaviour, X ray body scanners are now nearly everywhere in western airports. Thankfully, in the third world its only suitcase, and at worse, body strip searches you have to worry about. Which is rare, if you follow the rules ive outlined. I dont wish a bad outcome on anybody. In my career i spent just a week in a Thai prison, and two years in an Australian one. NOT for smuggling. Selling the stuff is far riskier than smuggling it if you follow the rules. Unfortunately, unless you have high level contacts to sell it to, you are dealing with untrustworthy junkies:/ This is what brought about My two years very early in my career at this shit:/ Unless you have steel nerves, and a fatalistic attitude dont even try to smuggle. Believe me, ive seen it all:/
