Well ending western imperialist is good, but it would seem that Japan would not keep the end of their promise, they become the thing that they wanted to stop in the first place.

well its interesting that east asia has the most after effects of ww2. I.e. the division of korea, the korean war, vietnam war, indochina war and all the other wars of independance launched immediately after ww2, alot of which were encouraged by japan. It is wondering to think that almost none of these would happen if japan won.

U.S./British/French/Dutch imperialism was simply replaced by Japanese imperialism. All of Japan's actions from 1937-1945, both in China and in the Pacific, stemmed from colonialist ambitions.

@@AFGuidesHD The division of Korea would not happen, yes, though the Korean Revolutionary Army would still fight against the Japanese, and if this is a timeline where the Soviet-Japanese non-agression pact remained in effect, they would eventually lose (or at least not be able to win). The Viet Minh fought against first the French, then the Japanese, then the French again - they opposed any and all forms of imperialism over Indochina. It would take a different form than it did in our timeline, but there would be some fighting in Indochina. All of the post-WW2 resistance movements and wars of independence had their orgin in something that existed pre-war, and a lot of these organisations would fight against any colonial power, including the Empire of Japan.

@@scottm8292 true, they learned from Americans and Europeans, from A to Z, killing the natives, destroy local cultures, enslave local population for local material extraction and manufacturing, repeat. They were being stopped by Americans not because justice need to be served, but they were plundering the resources of western colonies, and of course, they are not white enough.

Not if the Japanese in this alternate history act like they did in real life towards the territories they conquered. If they gave genuine power to governments they propped up, they would be hailed as heroes and liberators for ending Western colonialism and imperialism. If they didn't (and they didn't in real life), then the populations of the areas they fought over would be trading one oppressor for another.
