haarp2012, Shelley Duvall did win the 1977 Best Actress award at Cannes for her portrayal of "Millie" in Robert Altman's "3 Women". She actually starred in quite a few Altman films: "Nashville", "Brewster McCloud", "McCabe and Mrs. Miller", "Popeye". It's tragic that she apparently is schizophrenic now and refuses help.

I can’t believe how some people judge this talented woman....She went up against Jack Nicholson and nailed her performance....I would never make fun of someone of her caliber....I couldn’t deal with the Film Industry...I wonder how many critics here could? Well said. She was absolutely perfectly cast in The Shining. Her acting was flawless. It's the perfect film from any aspect. Everyone happened to be at the peak of their abilities. Kubrick's best film, in my opinion.

Everyone involved in that movie should've won an Oscar, a Golden Globe an AFI award and whatever else was going; Stanley, Jack, Shelly, Danny, Scatman, Vitali, the guy in the bear costume, the old British woman with the tea cart, the guys who brought and laid the salt/pretend snow, the guys who had to clean it up after, everybody.

I’ve seen this clip before, but it’s recommended now, especially after Shelley just die recently. She was a tremendous performer and really held her own along with Jack. She was as cute as a button and great in every project she worked on.

I know this comment is old but this event is set in 1994, i think round about that time is when she was beginning to slip. There is another video on youtube and it is her in an interview in the Marilu Henner show in 1994 and something seemed not right with her, but fortunately she is getting better now.
